So about 2 months ago I shared a post on Saturday about my printing adventures in it I mentioned I had issues with one of my older printers, it's been collecting dust but I got it working again! link to the post from 2 months ago here
and an exert from that post about the printer in question right below.
The blue one under the table has been giving me some poor quality and was also printing a little offset from the center reducing the total build area so I was trying to update the firmware with the manufacturers software it' supposed to be easy one click and you done, well one click and the printer is done, the firmware update ended up breaking the printer, as of now I power it on and the control screen for it is black, I tried to install some other firmware but no success yet, I will have to try again, I should be able to get it back up and running but the quality issues are likely still going to be present and I will have to address them too but at this point I just want to make it work so it's not just a heavy paper weight.
A picture from that post
Well I got it working but the quality was still trash, you can see the results below.
So to figure out what the deal is I did 2 calibration prints to figure out the best temperature and retraction settings
It looked better after the adjustments but one side of it was coming out pretty bad.
Right below is how it should look like these 2 got made by my other printers.
Since the side facing away from the part fan looked bad I thought maybe the fan was not great right below is the fan I had on it
So I found some models online and printed out a few until I found a good design that seem to work I went with the one on the right in the picture below, this fan hits it form both sides unlike the one that was on it that is only getting the front
So after that I tried to print some stuff and it came out fairly well.
made this big bowl
Then I also printed something for the Art&3d series and it came out fairly well too not perfect but pretty decent, I blurred it out, you see it on some Monday not the next as I got something else planed lol
