This is not what I meant when I said I want more pesos than Bezos 🤣 anyway welcome ! I still have some silver gaming tokens to share but I decided to skew the que to make things a little more interesting.
I was very happy to land these 2 coins I seen a few #silvergoldstackers flexing them in their posts and I thought I would be one of them but... them shits are fake really bad fakes!
Most stackers love Mexican silver and what I like about this particular design is the purity right on the coin it's supposed to be 90% silver but as you can see in the picture below they sticking to the magnetic slide instead of sliding down slowly like real silver should, so that indicates that the metal here is Ferromagnetic (strong attraction to magnets) something precious metals are not.
So they are really bad fakes, now for where did I get them from, well I got them from a jewelry buying selling place I stopped by and asked if he had any silver coins or rounds he said he did, I picked out a bunch of Canadain junk and these 2, after I got home I got to testing and these threw the sigma off what I mean by that is the machine reset as soon as I put the sample on, that means it's ferromagnetic, I then pulled out my custom build magnetic slide and as I suspected they stuck to it like glue, I was a little disappointed because I really wanted these coins but I went back and he gave me some more Canadian junk in their place and gave me more than what I paid for them so that was nice.
Do I think this was intentional I am not sure he seemed like he didn't really know much about the coins I don't know how that can be if you are in the jewellery business but I guess it's possible that's why it's important to get the tools and knowledge to be able to buy real metals with confidence if this was not a store front I would bring my gadgets along and would catch the fakes.
Anyway so I just wasted a bit of time and got a little disappointed that I didn't land the real deal but there is still time I am sure some genuine ones will cross my path eventually.
