Peak viewing typically occurs between August 11-13, when up to 100 meteors per hour can be seen under ideal conditions. To best experience the Perseids:
1 ) Find a dark location away from city lights
- Allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness for about 30 minutes
3 ) Look towards the constellation Perseus, the shower's radiant point .

4 ) Be patient and enjoy the show!
