Yesterday, head of Russia's nuclear forces Igor Kirillov was assassinated outside an apartment building in Moscow along with his assistant by Ukraine’s SBU.
A bomb hidden in an electric scooter went off, killing Kirillov and causing damages.
Later today Russian authorities have detained the suspect responsible for the attack that killed General Igor Kirilov, head of Russia's Nuclear Defense Forces.
The suspect, a citizen of Uzbekistan, was apprehended in Chernoe, Balashikha District, Moscow Region, according to the FSB.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to acting on orders from Ukrainian intelligence, stating he was promised $100,000 and a European passport.
He reportedly placed a high-powered IED on an electric scooter near Kirilov's residence, using a Wi-Fi camera installed in a rented car to monitor the area. The device was remotely detonated when Kirilov and his driver exited the building.
The FSB announced that the suspect faces life imprisonment.
