I usually talk about money and wealth but this is going to be off topic a little bit because this news is just too much.
There's a new type of attraction called Symbiosexuality.
I just heard of this and wanted to share it and hopefully even found out more if anyone knows about it, tell me in the comments section.
It's when people are drawn to the energy between others in relationships rather than the individuals themselves. This is just messing up my previous understanding of attraction.
Maybe it makes sense and when I look back in my life, maybe I’ve experienced something like it and didn’t know what to call it at that time.
I’ve always admired the kind of dynamics that exists between certain couples
The way they move around each other, being together all the time, how they speak to themselves and even the way they argue
That bond couples like that share itself could creates a third entity. Something that may seem invisible but still a bit palpable.
Apparently, that’s exactly what symbiosexuals are drawn to. They're drawn to the connection, not the individual people. I believe a couple's bond has power, and that power can be attractive. Maybe it's just admiration turning into obsession.
We’re already very used to thinking about attraction as something that only has to be directed at a person be it a man, a woman or even a non-binary. Symbiosexuality goes the opposite way.
For them it’s not about who you’re attracted to but it’s about what you’re attracted to. The "what" is the dynamic other couples have.
I don't think society will easily accept this new kind of attract because it can create problems between the Symbiosexual and the couple he or she admires or is obsessed with.
Symbiosexuality is still pretty under the radar even in more open communities like the polyamorous circles they may not agree to its existence at all and that feels weirdly ironic. Our traditional believes will pushback at this very hard and I think it'll take a very long time before people get used to it or maybe they just won't.
Maybe this YouTube video will explain it better than I just did. You can check for more videos on it and you'll understand what I'm trying to say.
