If you understand human nature then you know complaining is an inherent part of us. We will always find things to be dissatisfied about. You might say this stems from our insecurities and you could probably be right.
It takes a great deal of bravery to pause and look at all the good things around us. To approve of their existence. To appreciate them. To admire them. To give credit to whom credit is due.
This kind of lifestyle takes years of practice of course especially when we've spent a large portion of our lives around people like us. Trying to stand out of the crowd will not only be nerve-wracking, and frightening, it will feel weird and we might begin to question ourselves.
But we can do it. We can decide to put an end to an attitude that eats away at us every day. We can stop. We can try other ways of living. We have to be intentional. Soon the rest of the people around us will copy and the world might move towards being a better place.
It is on this note that we want to present the great lion who encouraged us to seek gratitude and look at the beautiful things around us.
