A little over a week ago I completed the awareness/fundraising walk that my previous couple of posts have been in reference to. The goal was to, primarily, raise awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a rare genetic condition of which my son has.
Koko was a gorilla who some American ethologists had trained to communicate with people using sign language.
Though very bright, Koko was going through a very trying period, to the point where biologists thought she could have developed a major case of melancholy.
