Beneficial animals for the garden, Chrysopa

in #hive-14008417 days ago

I have talked and will continue to do so in a section of the blog about animals that are harmful to the garden, but there are also many animals that are beneficial to the garden. These are the predators that help us control pests in the most efficient and clean way possible. Our job will be to attract them and respect them so that they can help us get the best harvests.

This precious and difficult-to-see insect is also a great ally of the gardener. Its larvae are great consumers of aphids. But it not only helps us to control aphids but also acts against the cottony cushion scale, which makes it a great ally of citrus fruits. To a lesser extent, it also eats whiteflies and other minor garden pests.

The good thing about the lacewing is that its life cycle is very much in step with that of its prey, so its optimal living conditions are between 21º and 29º, in addition to a minimum humidity of 70%.
The best way to attract them is to have an insect hotel and plant plants with showy flowers around the garden, since these attract them.

Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
