One of the most important and used medicinal plants of the past is Artemisia, which bears the same name as the goddess.
This plant was very important because it serves to prevent and combat intestinal parasites. Nowadays, with the purification of water, this is a problem that we hardly have, but in ancient times, water was a source of contamination by parasites and they had to be combated.
It is a super healthy plant but also a super bitter plant, which is why it was used in infusions with honey to mask its unpleasant taste. In fact, this plant is responsible for the fact that in some cultures, health is related to the bad taste of plants. Nothing could be further from the truth, but that is true with Artemisia.
In the garden it does not have any great qualities that I know of other than attracting pollinators with its flowers, but on the other hand, it is a very rustic plant that grows anywhere and has no special needs.
