So it's already the last day of September, whew!
While the month started with wander and wonder (fun), it was also a time of mourning, worry, and stress. On the first week, we adventured in Bontoc where we get to enjoy the place's landscapes and some of NShen's artwork and so as the fun doodles along the walls of Pingad. And of course, there were the fascinating murals in Sabangan too.
That was followed by the news of an aunt losing her battle against cancer. Traveling to and from their place (second and third week) was tiring but also allowed us moments of adventure along the way.
We had a bit of fascination with the resin statues in Bauko where we got to see a newly-installed statue of a mom and a sleeping child. We took a detour and savored new ice cream flavors, got mesmerized by landscapes, tunnel greenhouses, steep roads, smoky mountains, and such.
There was the sinking area where we accidentally hunted some shadows. Not to forget the reflections by the log house and the discovery of potteries displayed along Bila Rd, the resort visit plus the hot bowls of noodles enjoyed at MS Cafe on one rainy evening.
And then in the most recent week, we had a scare while en route to my parents' place when we received a call that our old man (Dad) was rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, he was released after a thorough examination and the doctor cleared him of danger. It turned out that the foreman he commissioned to build their porch extension got him all worked up. He was so angry his BP shot up. His bad temper is surfacing once more, it's quite worrying...
Then suddenly, one of the boys had to leave for family issues which caught us off guard, feeling stressed concerning the farms as he left with so many tasks at hand. Thankfully, two of my brother's workers agreed to help which was nice but then typhoon Julian arrived on Saturday bringing heavy rains and winds so they couldn't work at all (the storm is still here and we are at signal number 1). Well, it's beyond our control and we can only breathe in and out to release the tensions.
This month's occurrences reminded me (yet again) that the days don't always go as planned or expected. Some circumstances happen and mess things up, making us frustrated or stressed, but the world doesn't stop nor does the time pause and wait for us to calm down. Life goes on whether the days are grey or bright so we must be open-minded and adjust to cope. (This is a note to self).
Meanwhile, my blockchain activities picked up quite a bit. Moving to DD kind of disrupted my equilibrium and it's taking me a while to get back to it. The LoH 204 prompts got me active at some point, reading more long-form posts than usual. Threading has taken the back seat, hence my premium subscription was put on hold for the meantime. This is what my sporadic engagements looked like during the month.
As to my stakes on-chain, the HP grew by 1,084 ending September with 23,920 (from 22,836 in August), quite consistent with the previous 2 months where 1,023 and 1,068 HP were added respectively. As always, I'm grateful and hopeful too, that the coming month will treat us a lot better.
But then again, it's best not to pin all our hopes on it.
Onward forward... no matter what and happy new week!
