Most times because of where we are born and the ideal of our family and community. We think, we don't have a choice but to follow life the way we see it, doing so, you kill your dreams and never think of a higher pr better possibility. But i was inspired by this angler fish that was found close to the surface in the coast of tenerife in spain. I will tell you what motivated me.
what is an angler fish
Angler fish are one of the aquatic animals we don't see much and they have been seen only twice. Why did this one motivate me? This fish are born and grow in the deepest part of the water, so their body evolved to survive in that environment, they grow an antler on their head that shines light to attract preys and for the rest of their life, they never see the sun or know what sunlight feels like. Fun fact: when two anglers mate, they merge together to for 1 body and they live together forever.
Back to the topic, but this angler defied that idea, it was seen on the surface, it saw the sun and felt sunlight, but maybe due to the changes in it's body, no being used to the sunlight it died, it may seem like a bad decision but it was the best moment of his life, only if he was born on the surface, he would have been accustomed to sunlight, only if he had made that move earlier...... he may have enjoyed the sun much longer.
So what is my take here. This angler fish lived in the dept of the sea, but when he made the decision to come on the surface, it was too late, his body can't adapt to the environment. We all were born in different environments, sometimes the condition in it may be too harsh and the ideals of people there may not be too convincing. You don't have too stick with it for too long or you will adapt to it and it will be hard to change. So, don't procrastinate, make the step, move out from the zone. You don't have to adapt to the darkness surrounding you, but seek the light, don't be too late. Let the story of this angler fish motivate you, as you make each step toward moving to the light.
