Airdropping For Fun šŸ˜Š

in #hive-140084 ā€¢ 4 months ago

Honestly, this is my first time venturing into the airdrop space.

I have actually tried to get started with some airdrops in the past, but due to how complicated they are, I just gave up and stuck with what I know and understand.

In the past, airdrops are not as easy compared to how they currently are today.

Today, telegram is making it easier for people to get involved in the airdrop hunting space without having much technical knowledge about crypto or a blockchain.

This, however, comes with its drawback as now that airdrop is becoming mainstream and widespread, it poses a great risk to many project owners as the intentions of their fans might not align with theirs.

To many people, airdrop is free money.

For this reason, many people aren't concerned about the project, but only care about the money that they are going to get for their troubles at the end of the day.

Nonetheless, airdrops are meant to be about giving the community the power. What they do with that power which is the token supply depends on the individual as we all have different vision and plans for different projects.

There are some people who held Notcoin until today and have doubled their initial Airdropped value. But I think they are the exception, as the masses didn't really get involved with notcoin because it was the genesis of telegram airdrop and people never thought anything good would come from it.

While telegram airdrops have gone mainstream now with some projects having millions of subscribers on YouTube, telegram, X and Instagram, it also poses a great risk and concern to project owners as they fear what would happen when they give out such an enormous amount of token out for free.

This is why I think pixelverse didn't make it easy for everyone to get their airdrop in the first phase.

Many people were raged and emotions were flying around, but for me, all I did was laugh because I could have gotten my first airdrop but didn't.

This is now reinforcing my stance about airdrops on why they might not be worth the hassle in the long run. And if we are being honest, it's not worth giving all your time and energy.

The second phase, however, is taking place in 8 days and I just can't wait to have another laugh because I know people will still have something to complain about.

Hamster is another airdrop that I think countless people are involved in and if this particular project flops just like pixel, then I'm sure the masses will give up on these projects, making it hard for people to get into the web3 world.

Nevertheless, I think all of this is just because we all seem to want quick money. For me, I'm just having fun and not really putting all my hope in these things, but since it doesn't require money to get into, I wasn't bothered.

Life is like that as some things don't always work out the way we want and that doesn't mean we stop trying. The only projects I'm rooting for right now is Blum, and they are already acting funny too, but I won't stop farming as I want to see where all these end up. Same with pixel, as I'm in level 8 and ready to play the game itself when they finally launch.

@itzninjafool sent me to check out your post. I see why. I am with you brother. All this stuff is super crazy with the airdrops.

Well you get a 100% upvote from me and another 100% upvote from @sbtofficial and some !PIZZA.

Things are no doubt crazy with airdrops. But it's fun getting involved with them and see if there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for stopping by šŸ¤—

Yes sir! Have a great week! Gave you a follow to keep up with your content. It seems you have some great opinions about hive related stuff. Enjoyed the read! Keep up the great work!

I really like how you laid this out. Usually the main thing people look for is a use case. That's where @sbtofficial started. I mean, it technically was for good battles based around the splinterlands game. No affiliation to the team. Just a third party token enjoying splinterlands and other Hive projects. Looking forward to seeing how your token unfolds @mviews. I will support the token. I hadn't heard of it until today. I will continue to keep an eye out for the posts and start to understand the projects development further. Have a great week!

Yeah utility matters with any token. I know about sbt too and like the goal. I think the threshold to be eligible for some juicy stuff is around a million sbt. I hope to find my way around that soon. I heard getting into splintersland is expensive but maybe sbt can provide a safe and smooth sail for me.

This is not my token per se, it's an airdrop I'm currently engaged with on telegram. Its a game token on the Ton blockchain and would be launching soon. I'm just sticking with the project and see how it goes.

Thanks for your comment. I do appreciate it. Keep up the good work with sbt.
