Fitness Friday : Funny Enough...I'm Not Fit

While I was contemplating what to write this evening with nothing inetresting to write about, i decided to start checking the freecompliment community to select the weekly community nominations which i will be posting today. While i was on the job I saw the fitness Friday post, and it reminded me about my fitness journey.

The daily theme is something the community members can write about every week. You can join the community and join in the fun anyday, anytime.

Now that you have joined the community, let's get back to our fitness talk. If you have checked out the community theme or not, I will tell you today's theme here. I know you must have guessed it is from the topic anyway. Its friday and that's a day for fitness stories.

There are countless things that are tied to our physical fitness. However, a lot of us ignore the message and think we can reach our full potential as a human without engaging in any form of physical activity beyond daily living.

The moment I saw the theme, the first post I saw and checked out was from a well-known fitness model where he was doing push-ups and talking about pushing beyond your limits in the background.

Immediately I begin to reflect on my fitness journey…which, in many areas, is a clean mess. However, I wasn't going to be too hard on myself because when it comes to hitting the gym I think I'm trying my best.

For some reason, I like going to the gym than working out at home, but there are two things that is holding me down in traffic when I should be moving forward on this journey. I will tell you about those two of things in this post.

Distance

Whenever you're going to start working out there's something you need to consider first before thinking about other things and that's is the distance of the gym. If the gym is very close to you, you're in luck, if it's a not too close nor too far from you, you're still better off, but if it's very far from your house you're disadvantaged my dear.

I fall into the last category because the distance from my house to the only available gym in my town is too much of a stretch that it's one of the main reason why my fitness journey is a mess.

Apart from having to walk before getting a bike to take you there the amount of money it takes to go and fro from the gym more than the daily payment at the gym itself. This leads me to the second reason, which is finance. The distance alone eats at my purse and also my motivation to be consistent with working out.

Finance

In anything we do in life one of the main priorities to think about is your finance because if you're not well off to afford whatever you're trying to do or buy then it's best to not even take a step forward. This is where patience should be exercised so that you can keep saving and over time you'll have enought to get the ball rolling.

Sometimes you can start little by little but most times the minimum amount needed to start some business is very high that not everyone can start even at the lowest point of entry.

Finance is one of those things holding me down but then I'm being patient to find a way to get the ball rolling very soon. No problem is unsolvable. Until then what would you like to say is an hindrance to your fitness journey. And if you're a consistent trainer then what was the thing that kept you on the journey and what was your challenges when you just started?

The grind ain't easy brother. I totally get the struggle with distance and finances, they can really impact motivation. Hang in there, and keep pushing forward step by step man

I was laughing in the beginning because for someone like me even if you bring the gym into my bedroom I’ll still jump over the dumbbells and go my way🤣🤣…. Different priorities I guess

Well, some people are like that. But for people like me, we don't mind sleeping and waking up in the gym everyday. 🤗 If you haven't tried it before, I suggest you do, you might like the experience.
