Vibes - Semana número 11. Lo extraordinario de la sencillez.
Cada día es un reto en la vida, hay momentos en donde simplemente me gusta tocar canciones populares, sin tanto academicismo, sin estresarme tanto, porque aunque no lo parezca, la guitarra solista no es un instrumento fácil y a veces como decimos en Venezuela "me pasa factura", esta semana quería subir una interpretación de una obra bastante difícil titulada "Preludio Criollo" pero no la tengo al 100% y en la música forzar algo o tocarlo con dificultad es una tortura, por lo que prefiero grabarla la próxima semana con más calma.
Entonces me preguntaba que iba hacer, y me dije... Luis vamos hacer algo sencillo, y ahí me propuse a grabar esta canción de "The Beatles" que es una de las más icónicas, fue una de las primeras canciones que me aprendí en la guitarra, la versión que hice obviamente le agregué más detalles, unos acordes más y unos bajos adicionales.
Este cover ha sido uno de los que más disfruté, salió fluido sin presión, porque yo siempre caigo en el error de exigirme demasiado y pierdo de vista uno de los propósitos de la vida, el ser feliz...
Yesterday - The Beatles.
Sinceramente nunca he investigado la historia de esta canción y realmente no quiero, ¿Porqué? Hay canciones las cuales yo mismo les pongo un origen, una historia detrás y cuando las toco me sumerjo en esa película que yo mismo me creé, si investigo el origen de la canción posiblemente no dejé de pensar en ello cuando la toque, por lo que prefiero no investigarla a fondo.
Es una canción hermosísima, nostálgica pero esperanzadora, la música de esa época tenía sencillez, vitalidad y era mucho más humana, hoy en día pocos artistas logran ser sencillos y brillantes, la autenticidad es algo que valoro enormemente y admiro mucho a las personas que tienen ese don de ser ellas mismas.

Every day is a challenge in life, there are moments where I simply like to play popular songs, without so much academicism, without stressing so much, because although it may not seem like it, the solo guitar is not an easy instrument and sometimes, as we say in Venezuela, "I takes its toll", this week I wanted to upload a performance of a rather difficult work titled "Preludio Criollo" but I don't have it 100% and in music forcing something or playing it with difficulty is torture, so I prefer to record it next week with more calm.
Then I asked myself what I was going to do, and I told myself... Luis, let's do something simple, and there I decided to record this song by "The Beatles" which is one of the most iconic, it was one of the first songs I learned in the guitar, the version I made obviously added more details, a few more chords and some additional bass.
This cover has been one of the ones I enjoyed the most, it came out fluidly without pressure, because I always make the mistake of demanding too much of myself and lose sight of one of the purposes of life, being happy...
Yesterday - The Beatles.
Honestly I have never researched the history of this song and I really don't want to, why? There are songs for which I myself give them an origin, a story behind them, and when I play them I immerse myself in that movie that I created myself. If I investigate the origin of the song, I probably didn't stop thinking about it when I played it, so I prefer not to investigate it in depth.
It is a beautiful song, nostalgic but hopeful, the music of that time had simplicity, vitality and was much more human, today few artists manage to be simple and brilliant, authenticity is something that I value enormously and I greatly admire people who have that gift of being themselves.
