Hi everyone, this is my very first post in this amazing community. I'm not much of a singer but I have an ear for music (good music) 😉. I play guitar as well, I've been following this community for a while and I've really loved the amazing entries that pours in week in, week out. I'm really tempted to try do something but I'd leave it for the pros 😆. I'd rather give a review of my favourite entry for the week. This week's theme 90' music is a very essential one as this was really crucial in shaping my taste and love for music, it was such an era of beautiful and soulful tunes. My favourite performance this week is by amazing singer @sleemfit, he performed "Can you feel the love tonight" a classic by Sir Elton John which was released in the year 1994 for Disney animated film Lion King.
He got my attention from the very first note he sang and maintained the pace, he didn't try to do too much and this was what really stood out for me. This gave the song it's essence in my own opinion, I mean riffs and runs are lovely to hear but I can't imagine hearing that in this kind of song, I think he's a disciplined singer. He stayed on key all through the song which is a really good thing to see,He uses a studio mic which helped amplify his vocals and a backing track. Kudos to the person who mixed mastered this entry as everything was in sync (the vocals and backing track). It was pure bliss just listening to this performance, while I listened to other great entries, the one I resonated with the most was by @sleemfit. Smooth vocals, soul, range ✅, I really think he has a good mastery of his voice.
His timbre is so colourful and smooth, he doesn't even have to do too much but just sing. This was a gem of an entry and I'm really rooting for you @sleemfit, hopefully you make top 10 😊.
