It's week 29 already and I don't know if it's just me but next week seems worthy of note in a way. 30 weeks of a competition is no small feat. A big thank you to the organizers for the initiative and the judges who take their time to help us improve as musicians.
I'd been looking forward to a week with the 90s theme, so you'd think I already had a list of songs I could sing but I kid you not, I blanked out thinking of a song to do.😂
I had to contact @babymoyin (te quiero mi amiga) with an SOS kind of message asking for help with song choices, she came through for me and suggested really good ones but I didn't know most of them.😫
I could have scored them but I was pressed for time as I couldn't tell when next I'd be able to record.
So, I had to go searching again and I found this song I used to love so much in high school, and here we are.☺
"As long as you love me" comes across to me as a lovestruck man's profession of unwavering love for his beloved. Anytime I listen to it, I imagine the recipient of his affections to be some sort of a rebel or misfit scorned by society, which is why he keeps assuring her he'll stand with her if she never stops loving him as well.
It's a really romantic song, and honestly, I love love.🤭
I tried to add in some backing vocals to harmonize with bandlab. I love harmonies but it's been a while since I harmonized with myself and it was fun trying it out again.
