Hi, Happy day, how are you?
I was born in the middle of the year 87, that is to say, I already had the use of reason in the 90s. I remember in 1995 when Shakira released her album “Pies Descalzos”, I had it in cassette format and I used to write the lyrics of the songs in a notebook pausing the player. She was singing on a music show called “Super Sábado Sensacional” and it still airs on Saturdays in Venezuela. I loved that show because they featured international artists. I really liked Marta Sanchez, La India de New York, Christian Castro and Paulina Rubio. All of them visited that program and signed the big book of idols.
Another memory from the 90's is the Euro Dance style music. I particularly liked Dj Bobo, Alexia, Gala, Aqua, among others. These songs were true disco anthems.
The song I chose is more of the alternative genre, I remember it played on the local radio every day in the same section. This composition was named the best song of the 90's in Spain by RTVE. It is “La Flaca” by Jarabe de Palo, although it was a hit at the time, I paid attention to it in this millennium, when I started singing it in karaokes to win free rounds of beer. I love it, I am faithful to this song in my repertoire, always.
I sing it with love for everyone.
Thousands of blessings.
