Father's Day was a few days ago, and I took my time to reminiscence about my childhood memories with my dad. Over the years, my father has shown me over and over again how to love and how to be loved.
I was thinking about the perfect song for this week, and after asking @monioluwa to help, I chose Jax's like my father.
Jax summarizes the love between her parents in her 3 minutes plus song, and it resonated the love my parents have for each other, too.
What stood out for me in this song was the fact that she didn't just talk about love when they were young and attractive but love now that their hair is turning grey and the body is changing shape. It shows how strong their love is to each other.
I thought to myself, "what more do we all need other than a patient and kind person, someone who tells you that you are fine wine better with age when you hair is turning grey? Someone who you are truly friends with.
I really enjoyed doing the cover for this song, and I hope you enjoy it too.
