Good morning everyone, vibes friends.
I'm excited about this new initiative by judges @verbal-d, @lourdbotterfly and @silentscreamer to include the new writing section in the community, as I've always loved music and certainly appreciate the talent of these contestants is something that deserves to be described.

I have been following and watching the weekly entries of many of the contestants for some time now, and it is necessary to highlight the great talent of each contestant, as well as the courage to stand in front of a camera, as not everyone is so good at these, and especially because they know that they will be watched by many people most of the time.
When you reach a certain point of self-improvement, by which I mean achieving a good musical talent, in this case, it's time to think about other things that also add value to what we do. Some people call it "polishing the diamond".

Here are some tips to keep in mind for future videos.

1-About the recording environment:

-The first thing to keep in mind if you are thinking of making a video where the audio must be excellent, is to look for an acouatic isolation: this will prevent unwanted external noises from clouding the recording.

-If you are looking for clarity and vocal accuracy, you should avoid empty spaces and gaps, as these tend to echo.
Many people look for an echoey place to sing, as this can have a favourable effect on the sound; however, this is not always the case. In order to apply this technique, one must take into account the length of music one wishes to sing and be sure that the echo can be controlled and does not become reverently excellent.
Musical styles that require quality and precision are R&B and Soul, Pop, Classical music and Opera.

2-For audio.

  • If you decide to record with an external microphone, make sure it's the right one. For example, condenser microphones pick up subtle details, but are more sensitive to noise; dynamic microphones are more rugged and less sensitive to noise, but may not pick up subtle details, and so on.

-Microphone placement should be at a distance of 15-30 cm from your mouth, and at a slightly offset angle (sideways or under) to reduce pops (p, b, t), thus avoiding pops and distortion.

  • If you are filming with a phone, hold it steady or use a tripod.

3- For personal preparation:

  • It is extremely important to warm up your voice before recording, doing vocal exercises to relax and prepare your vocal cords.

  • Have 100% knowledge of the song, taking into account the lyrics, melody and tones in order to be able to perform correctly.

After analyzing these tips I must emphasize that, you could also record several takes as things don't always go right the first time, and thus guarantee the best one to show.
I hope these tips are useful and I hope everyone liked them.
