A new platformer game is on the marketplace on Steam. A black and white mysterious platformer with a unique artistic style and soundtracks.
Our hero wakes up chained underwater with no hopes of escaping but wait he has a remarkable ability, the power to transfer his soul to other creatures and control them. Hence our hero can use the power of sea creatures and different fish to overcome the obstacles. It is an interesting idea for sure.
Our hero can control the fishes say, piranhas to cut the ropes and let him advance to new levels.
The game story is a complete mystery, you are thrown into this deadly water full of creatures trying to one-shot you and you. The game provides very less substance to the overall story but gives full creative control to users to interpret as their own.
A huge mechanical structure is being utilized for storing the souls of some of the creatures of the underwater world. We have to capture their soul and fuel this machine. There are 4 major sections each ending with a boss level/fight.
For example, this is the first boss that you have to overcome. Defeating it is not challenging at all.
Although you will enjoy its artistic design and reveby soundtracks the challenges are quite straightforward. The difficulty does not increase as much as you like and the complexity is not well managed too.
Considering it is a debuting game for the developers of Spiral Circus, they did a good enough job on it. While many complain about the game is fairly straightforward in challenging the brain, it compensates with its black and white breathtaking visuals. It reminds me of the game Inside.
I can save the above shot as my wallpaper too. It looks nice. I would say that the overall experience and positive and you might like it. One of the complaints I have is its short length gameplay. You can finish the game in one sitting if you want. It is beautiful and puzzling at the same time.
This came out recently, let me know what you think about it? Will you play it or not. Which other game does it resemble?
Thank you for reading...
Until next time.
