[ENG-ESP] Are there no good games in the play store anymore? || ¿Ya no hay buenos juegos en la Play Store?

Video games are interactive activities which are presented to us in the different audiovisual media that we have. Whether they are video games for PC, mobile, Playstation, Xbox or Nintendo, they all have a structure in which there are specific rules, a narrative, and imply the active participation of us as players.

For many people, myself included, video games are a large part of our childhood, of that nostalgia, that learning and that feeling of missing something, that comes to mind, every that you remember the things you did as a child.

Currently I am still an active player, perhaps with different tastes in relation to video games, with more and better criteria when analyzing titles, with more demands on creators, but still living the experience to the surface while I immerse myself in each one of them.

A few days ago I was without internet, I kept thinking "what the hell can I do on my phone without internet?" and after a while of tossing back and forth in my applications, reviewing photos and watching music, a memory came to my mind of when I was a child, and I used to play hours and hours on a tablet that my mother had. Of the hundreds of games I may have downloaded and played in that time, I only remembered the exact name of about 3 or 4.

It should be noted that in our house we did not have wi-fi internet. I'm talking about 10 years ago, and it really wasn't very common like it is now, that every house had a Wi-Fi connection.

So, all these titles that I enjoyed so much had to be offline, or you might unlock or have some benefits if you connected to the internet, but it wasn't necessary.

With this in mind, I said: "okay, if when I was a kid, I enjoyed all these offline games so much, playing with myself and some bots, in a time when the technology of Video games were not so advanced and the truth is that they were very simple, when I enter the play store now, there must be some incredible games that the ones from before should not even be compared to them."

Going down and exploring possibilities, I realized that the titles that were presented to me there, did not really call my attention, nor did they generate this interest of saying, wow, I want to know more about this game, I'll download it to see how it goes!

I must also say what, I was looking for casual games, without much demands on space, ram, processor, etc. Like those from before that I liked so much.

Games like Call of duty mobile, Clash Royale, Pugb, Brawl stars, Free Fire, which are the ones that dominate mobile gaming today, I already have them and I have played them. And after throwing so much vice and playing so often, there comes a time when I get bored and abandon them.

At the moment of not finding something different that piqued my interest, and I don't feel like going back to my vice days in Clash Royale, since I consider that 5 years playing is quite enough . I decided to download one of those old titles that I spent so much time on.

This time, my choice was Jetpack Joyride, a game with very basic mechanics, but not because it's basic makes it easy to play.

I must say that when entering the first thing I noticed is the quality of the graphics, which has happened to me many times, and I don't know if I'm the only one, which I usually remember many games as if they had very, very good graphics and when I play them again I realize how much different they are from current games.

However, this didn't diminish my excitement at meeting such a beautiful game again, and unlocking so many memories from when I was little.

I did pretty well in the first few rounds, but as I got further I realized that it's pretty tough and I still haven't beaten the record I remember having when I was little.

With this, the truth is that I had a lot to think about, to think that, before just entering the play store, I found title after title that caught my attention and I couldn't wait to play it, and that today, upon re-entering this game portal, no one has really fulfilled those expectations that I have, the truth is that I was a little disappointed.

Perhaps it is because being a child, there is really very little that we demand from a game, anything entertains us, and as long as we are glued to our phone or computer we are already happy. As we grow, we become more and more demanding, and it is more difficult for us to like something at first glance.

I don't really know the answer, but what I do know is that I've become a fan of the Jetpack Joyride again, and probably these days, I'll start trying each of those games that I remember from my childhood.

Los videojuegos son actividades interactivas las cuales se nos presentan en los distintos medios audiovisuales que poseemos. Ya sean videojuegos para pc, para móvil, Playstation, Xbox o Nintendo, todos poseen una estructura en la que existen reglas específicas, una narrativa, e implican la participación activa de nosotros como jugadores del mismo.

Para muchas personas, y me incluyo, los videojuegos forman gran parte de nuestra infancia, de esa nostalgia, ése aprendizaje y ese sentimiento de extrañar algo, que viene a tú mente, cada que recuerdas las cosas que hacías de niño.

Actualmente sigo siendo un jugador activo, ya quizás con diferentes gustos en relación a videojuegos, con más y mejor criterio a la hora de analizar los títulos, con más exigencia hacia los creadores, pero aún viviendo la experiencia a flor de piel mientras me sumerjo en cada uno de ellos.

Hace unos días que estuve sin internet, me quedé pensando "que demonios puedo hacer en mi teléfono sin internet?" y luego de un rato de tirar para adelante y para atrás en mis aplicaciones, revisar fotos y ver la música, llegó un recuerdo a mi mente de cuando era niño, y jugaba horas y horas en una tablet que tenía mi mamá. De los cientos de juegos quizás pude haber descargado y jugado en ese tiempo, sólo recordaba con exactitud el nombre de unos 3 o 4.

Cabe destacar, que en nuestra casa no teníamos internet por wi-fi. Les hablo de hace más o menos unos 10 años, y realmente no era algo muy común como lo es ahora, que en todas las casas hubiera una conexión por wi-fi.

Por lo tanto, todos estos títulos los cuales tanto me disfrutaba tenían que ser offline, o que quizás desbloquearas o tuvieras algunos beneficios si te conectabas a internet, pero no fuese algo necesario.

Teniendo esto en cuenta, dije : "vale, si cuando era niño, me disfrutába tanto todos estos juegos offline, jugando conmigo mismo y unos bots, en una época que la tecnología de videojuegos no estaba tan avanzada y la verdad es que eran muy simples, cuando entre ahora a la play store, tienen que haber unos juegos increíbles que los de antes ni se deben comparar a ellos."

Bajando y explorando posibilidades, me di cuenta de que los títulos que me presentaban ahí, realmente no llamaban mi atención, ni generaban este interés de decir, wow, quiero saber más de este juego, lo descargaré a ver qué tal!

También debo decir qué, iba buscando juegos casuales, sin mucha exigencias de espacio, ram, procesador, etc. Como esos de antes que tanto me gustaban.

Juegos como el Call of duty mobile, Clash Royale, Pugb, Brawl stars, Free Fire, que son los que a día de hoy dominan el gaming en móvil, ya los tengo y los he jugado. Y luego de echarle tanto vicio y jugar tan seguido, llega un momento en dónde me aburro y los abandono.

En este momento de no encontrar algo diferente que despertara mi interés, y sin ánimos de volver a mis días de vicio en Clash Royale, ya que considero que 5 años jugando es bastante suficiente. Decidí descargar uno de esos viejos títulos que tanto tiempo les invertí.

En esta ocasión, mi elección fue Jetpack Joyride, un juego con una mecánica muy básica, pero que no por ser básica lo hace fácil de jugar.

Debo decir, que al entrar lo primero que noté, es la calidad de los gráficos, que muchas veces me ha pasado, y no sé si soy el único, que suelo recordar muchos juegos como si tuvieran unos gráficos muy pero que muy buenos y cuando vuelvo a jugarlos me doy cuenta de la gran diferencia que tiene con los juegos actuales.

Sin embargo, esto no hizo disminuir mi emoción de volver a encontrarme con tan hermoso juego, y desbloquear tantos recuerdos de cuando era pequeño.

En las primeras rondas lo hice demasiado bien, pero al avanzar me di cuenta de que está bastante difícil y de que aún no logro superar el récord que recuerdo que tenía cuando era pequeño.

Con esto la verdad tuve mucho que pensar, pensar en que, antes nada más de entrar a la play store encontraba título tras título que llamaba mi atención y no podía esperar por jugarlo, y que a día de hoy, al volver a entrar a este portal de juegos, ningúno realmente haya cumplido con esas espectativas que tengo, la verdad me decepcionó un poco.

Quizás es porque al ser niño, realmente es muy poco lo que me exigimos de un juego, cualquier cosa nos entretiene, y con tal de estar pegados en nuestro teléfono o computadora ya somos felices. A medida que crecemos, nos volvemos más y más exigentes, y es más difícil que algo nos guste a simple vista.

La verdad la respuesta no la sé, pero lo que si sé, es que he vuelto a ser fanático del Jetpack Joyride, y probablemente estos días, comience a probar cada uno de esos juegos que vaya recordando de mi niñez.
