Finally playing MoonKarts, am I a good or a very bad player?

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing okay.

This time I'm going to show you how good or bad my performance was in Moon Karts (racing game). After cheking the game mechanics in the whitepaper, I finally played a few games. So for that I bought a Driver and a Kart, Luna (Driver) and AstroKart, both are common but enough to play the game, I wanted to play with them to see how useful and good they can be.

As we can see in the images above, each card has 4 stats:

Speed: Determinates the max speed you can achieve in a race.
Handling: Determines how well you can navigate turns.
Acceleration: Determines how quickly you can reach your top speed.
Health: Determines how much damage your kart can take before breaking down for a short period of time.

So in total, together they have 56 Health, 120 Speed, 47 Handling and 40 Acceleration.

Looking at their stats, they seem pretty low, but I don't think they can be that bad, right?

Common cards (recognizable by the green background) seem to require 400 cards to reach max level, just like in Splinterlands, very nice to implement that. I wonder what the maximum stats they can achieve at max level are, because I couldn't find any information on that.

I needed to check the keybindings before playing, you can find them in Settings and you can edit them if you feel comfortable with other keys.

By default the keybindings to control the Kart are very simple, Arrow Keys or WASD for mobilization.

SPACE to DRIFT, very important!

And you can use up to 5 power-ups like missiles and barriers, the default keybindings are:

And if you want to see your Back View, you need to hold down the B key.

I practiced a few games in Single Player mode to get a feel for what the map is like and of course how fast my kart can go. Afterwards, I decided it was time to play in Multiplayer mode because, as always, you learn faster by playing against real players.

This is what the Waiting room looks like, I thought it would take longer, but in about 1 minute other players joined and the race began.

As soon as the game started, my opponents' cars got too far ahead until I could no longer see them on the track. I wonder how fast their cars were going, probably close to maximum.

Before the race started, I really thought I could win or at least be close to other cars, but it seems I'm too noob in this game and thinking about winning in my first few games is too optimistic, at least not against those cars.

Unfortunately, it took me almost 5 minutes to finish the race, too long, why? Well the answer is simple, I'm terrible at racing games :V, obviously I got last place.

Looking at my opponents' nicknames after they destroyed me, I knew I had seen them before, so I checked the Rankings and they were there, number 1 and 4 in the rankings, there was no way I could win against them.

So, I practiced a little bit more in Single Player mode and I remember that I wasn't using Drift in the race, which was the problem that it took me a long time to finish the race. If I had used the Drift I could have reached the finish line much faster.

So I played a few more games in multiplayer again to see if I could win, this time the game took a while to find players like around 6 minutes, anyway I lost those games and ended up in last place. I don't usually play racing games so I'm really bad at it, I need a lot more practice and a better kart.

Here learning to drift.

That's all for now. See you all, take care!

This game is only for PC. Because of which we could not play.☹️

Unfortunately, it's currently only available for PC, perhaps this will change in the future.
