Hello there. I'm Clint Aribs, welcome to part 2 of my Soccernova project. To get the full gist of what's going on, read the part 1 here - I'm Building A Football Manager Game! [Part 1]
In the part 1 of this project's updates, I mentioned using Bubble.io as my primary Integrated Development Environment (IDE), due it's ease of use. I also broke down the list of features Soccernova would possess. Today, I was able to finish the home page showcasing the game's features and a bit of frequently asked questions (FAQ). The home page now looks like what you can see in the above and below images.
I have also managed to create the sign up and login forms as seen below. All I had to do was scroll through the list of element and select 'Pop Up'. Then I begin dragging and dropping the 'Input' fields and the 'Buttons'. For now, it's possible to click the sign up, get started, or log in buttons on the home page to make the pop ups appear, the login and create account feature isn't ready yet because I have not yet created the dashboard page and written the workflow for that. I prefer putting the sign up and login forms on a pop up because it get the job done without having to open a new page entirely.
The images of celebrating footballers was generated with AI using GetImg. As for that awesome looking mobile device you see on the home page, I had to use multiple different tools to get the job done. First of all, I had to find a way to design the content of the screen showing an ongoing match in progress with the team names, score-line, and event description using a tool called Figma.
After that, I exported the screen as a png image, then I headed on over to a tool called Mockuper. Once there, I had to look for a suitable mobile device to slap my screen upon. Then I downloaded the final transparent image of a match screen mobile device mockup and then uploaded to my design on Bubble. As for the other png vectors of stadiums and a trophy, I got them from Freepik. Quite the process, innit?
In my next update, I'm gonna create a Data Type for registration and make it possible to create an account and login to the dashboard area. I can't begin to imagine how long this whole process would have taken with code. You can view the progress of the project here - Soccernova (Desktop). Mobile version ain't ready yet.
Thank you for stopping by.
