The changes in the curation of Splinterlands themed posts are extremely beneficial to me because I have been building an account based on the growth of HivePower. I need to announce to the rotating curator Splinterlands that:
In 2024 I grew my HivePower from 4KHP to 8KHP.
However, another change has happened, and now the minimum value for card rentals is 1 DEC. This change forced me to rethink my game strategy, which is based on a core of my own cards that I bought and earned over 3 years, and supplemented by renting low-level cards.
I don't want to pay 1 DEC for a level 1 common card
I thought about immediately stopping participating in the alliance, since I have a commitment to play in Fray 5. However, after analyzing the real impact of this measure, I realized that some users were even more harmed because their decks were based entirely on rent, which became a pay to play situation, which immediately drove players away.
So I stayed, and even without any rent I managed to reach the Gold 2 league. This was a sign that:
other players had succumbed
to the issue of minimum rent and did exactly what I had thought of doing, which was stop playing. I took the opportunity and decided to invest a little more and try to go further!
Reward Chest - Gold League 2
In this chest I got three cards in the simple boxes and 357 merits in the boxes. I prefer to receive cards, but that's okay, it's a matter of luck! We won't analyze the cards received because they are irrelevant to my current strategy. Just know that I keep wanting to receive more and more cards, but this time I wasn't lucky enough to get the ones I want.
Advancing towards the Gold 1 league
I'm taking advantage of the recent changes to card rentals, which now cost at least 1 DEC to advance in the leagues. I noticed that the difficulty level has dropped a bit, so I took the opportunity to spend a little more and rented some cards that were only gold.
With these rentals, I now receive more SPS per victory. This way, I can improve my reward multipliers, which are based on the SPS that is staked. The cards I selected to rent cost a little over 1 DEC each. Unfortunately, I ended up choosing the wrong Deeplurker and got a level 8 and also a level 5. I wasted DEC.
With these cards, and together with my own gold cards, I have a chance to receive more SPS per victory.
In this battle, for example, I managed to use 3 out of 4 Gold cards. Two of them are mine:
- Cursed Windeku
- Arachne Thug
I bought these cards some time ago, when they were highly valued. Nowadays, they are more accessible on the market. The second round almost scared me, but I soon realized that the team's speed was essential and I could save my tank.
The game ended when I realized that the opponent's damage capacity was equal to my healing. In other words, the damage caused was immediately reversed, so the only option for the opponent would be defeat.
SPS is money in your pocket! And that's what happened, where I accumulated 1,522 SPS in this battle and headed towards the Gold League 1. If I manage to get there, I'll still have the chests for advancing the league. It would be great to get some more cards to help me in this new era of rentals at a minimum price!

Porém outra mudança aconteceu, e agora o aluguel de cards passou a ter valor mínimo de 1 DEC. Essa mudança obrigou repensar a estratégia de jogo, que é baseada em um núcleo de cards próprios que comprei e ganhei ao longo de 3 anos, e complementada por aluguel de cards de baixo nível.
Eu não quero pagar 1 DEC para um card comum level 1
Pensei em parar imediatamente de participar da aliança, pois tenho compromisso de jogar no Fray 5. Contudo, depois de analisar o impacto real dessa medida, eu percebi que alguns usuários foram ainda mais prejudicados pois seus decks eram baseados inteiramente em aluguel, o que tornou-se uma situação de pagar para jogar, coisa que imediatamente afastou jogadores.
Então eu permaneci, e mesmo sem aluguel nenhum consegui chegar na liga Ouro 2. Isso foi um sinal de que:
outros jogadores haviam sucumbido
com a questão do aluguel mínimo e feito exatamente o que eu havia pensado em fazer, que foi parar de jogar. Aproveitei a oportunidade e resolvi investir um pouco mais e tentar chegar mais longe!
Baú de recompensas - Liga Ouro 2
Neste baú consegui três cards nas caixas simples e 357 merits nas caixas. Eu prefiro receber cards, mas tudo bem, é uma questão de sorte! Não vamos analisar os cards recebidos pois eles são irrelevantes para minha estratégia atual. Basta saber que continuo desejando receber sempre cada vez mais cards, só que nesta vez não tive a sorte de obter aqueles que eu desejo.
Avançando rumo à liga Ouro 1
Estou aproveitando as mudanças recentes do aluguel de cards que passou a custar no mínimo 1 DEC para avançar de ligas. Percebi que o nível de dificuldade baixou um pouco então aproveitei para gastar um pouquinho mais e fiz alguns aluguéis de cards unicamente dourados.
Com esses aluguéis eu passo a receber mais SPS por vitória. Assim consigo melhorar meus multiplicadores de recompensas, que são baseados em SPS que está em stake. Os cards que selecionei para alugar custaram pouco mais de 1 DEC cada, infelizmente acabei errando a seleção de um Deeplurker e peguei um level 8 e também um level 5. Gastei DEC com desperdício.
Com esses cards, e juntando com meus próprios cards dourados, tenho chance de receber mais SPS por vitória.
Nesta batalha por exemplo consegui usar 3 de 4 cards do tipo Ouro. Dois deles são meus:
- Cursed Windeku
- Arachne Thug
Eu comprei esses cards a algum tempo atrás, quando eram bem valorizados. Hoje em dia estão mais acessíveis no market. O segundo round quase me deu um susto, mas logo percebi que a velocidade da equipe era primordial e eu poderia salvar meu tank.
O jogo acaba quando percebi que a capacidade de dano do adversário era igual à minha cura. OU seja, o dano causado era imediatamente revertido, então a única opção para o adversário seria a derrota.
SPS é dinheiro no bolso! E foi o que aconteceu, onde acumulei 1,522 SPS nesta batalha e segui rumo ao LIga Ouro 1. Se eu conseguir chegar ainda terei mais os baús de avanço de liga. Seria muito bom conseguir mais alguns cards para me ajudar nesta nova era de aluguéis com preço mínimo!
