Diablo with SE Asian folklore š¹ššŗ
Ghostlore is a 2D isometric action role-playing game developed and published by Andrew and Adam Teo. It was released on Steam on April 14, 2022. It has since made its way to consoles.
Ghostlore is an Eastpunk action RPG set in a fictional town called Seaport, a fantasy parallel to Singapore. The player character is a ghostbuster who fights supernatural monsters from Southeast Asian folklore. The game features six hero classes, each with their own unique abilities. Players can customize their characters' appearance and equipment, and they can also collect glyphs to give their characters new abilities.
The game's combat is straightforward, with a standard dodge and attack combo. Players can use a variety of indigenous weapons, including the Parang, a Malay machete, and twin Kukri blades. The game's enemies are deadly and varied, including some that are particularly terrifying.
Ghostlore features procedurally generated maps, so players will never experience the same dungeon twice. The game also features a detailed item and character customization system, so players can create their own unique builds.
Ghostlore is a challenging but rewarding game that offers a unique take on the action RPG genre. It's a great game for fans of Diablo and Titan Quest, and it's also a great way to learn about Southeast Asian folklore.
I am a big fan of Asian folklore and a good old-fashioned ARPG. This game is right up my alley and it may be up yours too. Let's proceed forth to the gameplay portion of the video to see if Ghostlore is as good as it sounds on paper.
