The first free trial to sell me 🤑

Had I not been given access to a 5-hour free trial of The Crew Motorfest, then I'd still be sleeping on this game. I absolutely fell in love with the open world of Hawaii and the colorful way that Motorfest goes about letting you explore and race. This game was made for me and I'm so glad that I realized this. As soon as I finished my trial, I kept the game on my wishlist and waited for a decent sale. Black Friday was the day I finally pulled the trigger on Motorfest.

By the time I finally got the full game, many new playlists had been added, with more coming in the future. All of the content updates are free. The main way they want you to spend money on DLC is to gain early access to cars. The currency isn't as greedy as in Gran Turismo 7, but it's still pretty bad. It takes quite a while to save up for those million-dollar cars, which there are plenty of.

If you ignore the whole money aspect of the game and just enjoy a good racer, then you will be in heaven with The Crew Motorfest. I kid you not when I say that this is one of my favorite open worlds ever. I've played games set in Hawaii such as Test Drive Unlimited, but it just doesn't compare to how awesome Motorfest's scaled-down version of the island of Oʻahu is.

Right away you will see that Motorfest is heavily inspired by Forza Horizon. It's certainly not a clone though. Think of what it would be like if Forza Horizon, Need For Speed, and The Crew 1 and 2 had a baby. That's Motorfest. It's a recipe for success and I'm happy to report that Ubisoft didn't ruin it.

I'm so happy to finally have this game in my library. I will be completing all of the playlists, which by the way have some of the best cinematics I've ever witnessed in a racing game. The soundtrack is on point too, plus I like the AI assistant Cara very well as she is constantly teaching me new things about the island and cars.

I also plan to do some videos focused on the multiplayer aspects of Motorfest. Believe it or not, there is a battle royale mode and it's actually a ton of fun. We are still just barely scratching the surface of The Crew Motorfest, but I can say without a doubt that it is one of the best open-world racing games ever.

Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

Fantastic game

Dulu saya seringkali memainkan game balapan mobil di PS 2 🥰

Wow! Congrats on your new purchase! I tried the free trial on this one, but am an awfully bad driver. I better off doing the farming simulation. 😅

It's a lot of fun exploring Hawaii even if you're doing so casually instead of competitively. My friend plays a lot of Farming Simulator. I have no idea how he enjoys that.

When a person buys such things within the game, then it becomes more fun to play the game.

the game looks very entertaining, I love car games and I liked it because it mixes the classic of the tracks in the cities and I love that.

se ve muy entretenido el juego, me encanta los juegos de autos y pues me gusto ya que mezcla lo clásico de las pistas en las ciudades y eso me encanta.

I think there was a time you talked about the free trial
I’m glad you made the purchase
Congratulations

You are really doing great.

I completely agree with you, it's like a breath of fresh air in the racing game genre. The open-world concept in racing genre is getting fantastic. I always thought of going offroad playing close-world racing game. This game looks like a pure gem to me.

If you love to take screenshots when you play, you might want to check the Gaming Photography community where you'll get to talk especially about those screenshots you're not sharing in your gaming post in another community.

Another amazing open-world racing game to look out for is Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, releasing in 2024

Oh wow, it has insane graphics it seems. I can't wait to try it out after its release. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, wow, I actually remember when you had tried the free trial months ago... sounds like you had the patience to endure the currency to have what you describe as a fantastic racing experience!

Really glad to hear that it was really worth getting for you at the end of the day, specially with how you waited for the Black Friday sale to get it for cheap. The game does indeed remind me of Forza Horizon 2 and 4, the only ones I've tried, but I can guess that it has the advantage of even more careful polish on the controls and environments.

About that "rad game with checkpoints from the 80s"...that line could basically be any 3D arcade racers from the era with how most if not all used that "checkpoints for more time" structures, though the most likely names to come to mind first are Outrun, Pole Position and Chase H.Q.

Cheers!

This is the best new racing game in 2023. That's my opinion.
