Welcome to Lego City ๐Ÿ™๏ธ ๐Ÿš“

Lego City Undercover may be one of the oldest games to be added to the PS Plus game catalog. If you are a fan of Lego games, this one may be for you. Let's discuss.

Lego City Undercover is an open-world action-adventure game developed by TT Fusion and published by Nintendo. Originally released in 2013 for the Wii U and later for other platforms, the game is set in a vast open-world Lego City and follows the story of Chase McCain, an undercover detective tasked with apprehending the notorious criminal, Rex Fury. What set Lego City Undercover apart from other Lego games is its original storyline and the absence of a tie-in with an existing intellectual property like Star Wars or Marvel, allowing for a unique and creative approach to storytelling.

The game combines the signature humor and charm of Lego games with the open-world exploration found in other action-adventure titles. Players can freely roam Lego City, which is filled with various districts, missions, and collectibles. The humor is geared towards a wide audience, blending slapstick comedy with clever references, making it enjoyable for players of all ages.

Chase McCain's character has a variety of disguises, each granting him different abilities that are used to solve puzzles and progress through the story. This adds a layer of strategy to the gameplay, as players must switch disguises to access specific areas or utilize unique skills. The game also includes a cooperative multiplayer mode, allowing a second player to join in at any time, contributing to the overall fun and accessibility for families or friends playing together.

Lego City Undercover received positive reviews for its engaging gameplay, humorous narrative, and detailed Lego City environment. Its departure from licensed properties allowed TT Fusion to create an original and entertaining experience within the Lego universe. The game's success has solidified its place as one of the standout titles in the Lego game series, offering players a delightful and humorous adventure in a Lego-built open-world city.

Just because this game is over 10 years old doesn't mean that it is bad. It feels slightly dated, but it's still a Lego game through and through. You know what to expect if you are familiar with Lego games.

Now time for the video portion of this post where I will be showing you some gameplay and first impressions.

Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

If the name of the game I like, then I will definitely play it. The trailer of this game is also very special, so I will definitely play it in the future.

Buen post bro <3

Nice! I remember this being one of those few whispered Wii U non-Nintendo releases back then, and I think I had LRGO Batman for Wii, but I only have memories of playing LEGO Star Wars on GameCube and that LEGO Jurassic World game for Xbox 360 since a friend was trying it on his console.

That, and that one new LEGO Star Wars game that people were making combo videos with DMC5 music lol

With that said, I can see why this one might not have caught on like the others- from the surface it seems that it does have silly dialogue (which I find good) but I'm not sure if there's much in gameplay or in the whole plot that makes it stand out compared to the other games that had to get creative with other more serious franchises to give them the funny LEGO spin.
