A solid month, but not the best for me š®
March 2022's free PS Plus titles were announced over on the official PlayStation blog. This month we go Ghostrunner (PS5), Ark: Survival Evolved (PS4), Team Sonic Racing (PS4), Ghost of Tsushima Legends (PS5/PS4). Plus as a bonus starting March 15th, PlayStation gamers can also claim the next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto Online (PS5) for free.
This is a pretty good lineup of games, but I have a few of them already. Plus the GTA V upgrade will only be giving out the GTA Online portion of the game for free. That means you will have to pay if you wish to go back and play the single-player again.
Now it is time to talk about each game in greater detail and help you find out if any of the free PS Plus titles are worth your time.
Ghostrunner š„·
I purchased this game for under $10 a few months back and had some fun with it. It is similar to Mirror's Edge, but even faster-paced. The cyberpunk future is a really cool setting and the music fits very well. You will be dying a lot in this one, but luckily you respond in the blink of an eye to retry again. The game gradually introduces new mechanics to you and this game really evolves into a deep grind if you are willing to give it the time.
Wield a blade and perform amazing parkour feats to battle your way up a megastructure tower city in this intense, fast-paced first-person adventure. Slice your enemies with a monomolecular katana, dodge bullets with your superhuman reflexes, and employ a variety of specialized techniques to prevail. One-hit one-kill mechanics make combat fast and intense. Use your superior mobility (and frequent checkpoints!) to engage in a fearless, never-ending dance with death. Source

Ark: Survival Evolved š¦
Ark originally came out back in 2015, so it is pretty old. The game has received many updates since then and there is a ton of DLC. I still am not planning on playing this one ever. I am not a big fan of the survival genre, there is just too much to manage and I don't really get why people enjoy this style of game so much. I think the fact that it is all about dinosaurs is pretty freaking awesome, but that is not enough to get me to play. I know there are a lot of survival fans out there who surely are happy to get Ark if they didn't already have it of course.
In this MMO survival game, you awaken on the shores of a mysterious island and must quickly adapt to everything its hostile environment throws at you. Harvest resources to craft items and build shelters, and use your newly crafted equipment to kill, tame, or breed leviathan dinosaurs and other creatures that roam the land. And youāre not the only one stranded: team up with ā or prey on ā hundreds of other players. Source

Team Sonic Racing š
Fun little racing games like these are rarely a bad addiction to your gaming library. If you like Mario Kart, then you will have a ton of fun with Team Sonic Racing. There are some things that differentiate the two, mainly the characters, but they are also very similar. I may try this one out at some point, but I am more focused on Gran Turismo 7 at the moment. Still, this looks like a pretty good game and I feel like a lot of people will really be glad to get it for free.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends šŗ
I have nothing but great things to say about Ghost of Tsushima. It is arguably my favorite video game of all time. I 100%'d the game on PS4 and then I did the same when they released the PS5 upgrade with the Director's Cut edition. The single-player experience is fantastic, Legends is the multiplayer portion of the game. If you haven't played Ghost of Tsushima and own a PS4 or PS5, you seriously are missing out. Getting Legends for free is your chance to see how great of a game this really is. The multiplayer is some serious fun and I spent hours and hours playing through the co-op story missions and other game modes that are offered. There is so much to spend time with here, whether it be beating all of the missions, unlocking amazing-looking cosmetics, or just having fun with friends. This is the best game on March's list of PS Plus titles.
Ghost of Tsushimaās standalone, cooperative multiplayer experience*** is inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology. Choose from four unique classes ā Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin ā and invite friends or use online matchmaking to fight side-by-side as legends in four exciting game modes. Pair up to progress through the Story missions, gather three other players to take on Survival, or go two versus two in the competitive Rivals. Source
