In this game our main mission is to stop the Collectors( aliens who are kidnapping entire human colonies.) Collectors are working for a sentient race of machines the Reapers( Reapers destroy all advanced civilizations every fifty thousand years.) In the beginning of this game Collectors attacked and destroyed our ship Normandy. Our main character Shepard died in the process of the attack. Secret pro human organisation Cerberus and their leader Illusive Man somehow brought us back to life and build as a second Normandy. Now we are gathering the team of most badass scientists, soldiers and mercenaries to save galaxy and humanity from Collectors and the Reapers.
Last time on Fiery plays Mass Effect 2: We tried to save a former student of professor Mordin. In truth he was not kidnnaped by krogans. He was willingly performing sick and brutal experiments to help cure Genophage( A biological weapon/ disease that made most krongans infertile). We saved his research data for the future. We also found and saved a missing krogan scout.
In this part Guts Shepard spoke with Illusive Man. He told us about a damaged Collector ship and asked us to go there and find some information about Collector homeworld.
After we arrived to the Collector ship it seemed to be abandoned and empty. We checked ship's signature and found out a few things: it was the same ship that attacked Horizon colony(that was few parts ago) It also was the same ship that destroyed first Normandy and killed Shepard in the beginning of this let's play. We also found out that Collectors were running experiments. On both humans and other Collectors. They were looking for similarities between us. Also it turns out that Collectors are actually corrupted/changed Protheans( a race that was believed to be wiped out by the Reapers.)
Inside the Collectors ship we found many pods in which collectors kept captured humans. We let Normandy's AI connect with Collectors ship. After this Normandy was infected by some kind of virus. Then Collector ship was activated. We were inside a trap and had to defend from a swarm of enemies. After that our AI EDI regained control of the Normandy. EDI also discovered that Illusive Man set us up into a trap.
Once we escaped the Collectors ship Illusive Man claimed that using us as a bait was necessary. Also according to him EDI extracted some information about Collectors homeworld. It turns out that their homeworld is in the galactic core. Illusive Man told us that to reach collectors homeworld we will need collectors IFF device. We could find this device in another derelict Collectors ship. But we decided to gather remaining team and do their loajty missions before progressing with main mission of getting IFF device.
