Horizon Zero Dawn: A Seeker at the Gates.

I would like to talk about a chapter of Horizon Zero Dawn which is called A Seeker at the Gates.

You may watch the video above to see the gameplay yourself and I bet you won't regret watching the gameplay.

This new main quest started from the tribe gate where I destroyed the big machine called Demon and now its time for Aloy to seek what's outside the gates and big surprises are waiting for her in the outside world.

The override device that Aloy collected from Demon to check whether it can be used against the machines in the wild should get handy right away and I'm going to test it on a machine.

After collecting anything I could from the remaining's of the machines and from the chests inside, I was heading outside and after running for a moment, I've heard someone called for his brother out loud from a higher ground. It's Olara looking for his brother Brom. I went near her and Aloy told her that she'd look for her brother and then I left that place in order to find a machine to override it.

There was a strider standing right infront of me while I was hided inside the tall grasses an it was the perfect timing to test the device on this strider and I tried it out.

And look what happens. Ain't it awesome? I never thought I'd ride one of those machines and the never imagined dream came true this easily.

As soon as I overrided the strider and got onto it, the other striders started attacking it and my pet strider was attacking them as well but I left the place riding the machine cause the strider was losing its health.

Now I needed to talk to Varl so I was riding towards him at another gate.

Screenshot (5).png

Then I reached the main entrance gate and there I've found Varl fighting corrupted machines. Varl was surprised seeing Aloy riding the strider there.

Then Aloy was talking about the way of Meridian and Varl asked Aloy to head north to Mother's Crown and someone named Marea will point the way.

Then I started riding towards Mother's Crown to talk to Marea and on the way, I left the strider as it was weak losing its health. And when I was trying to override another strider, it was not that easy as they become furious if they spot me but at last I could override a strider and that's when the strider surprised me destroying another strider that was attacking me.

Screenshot (8).png

Then I've found Marea and Marea said the West side will take Aloy to Meridian but their soldiers may stop Aloy on the way. There's a Carja Fort that guards the pass between east and west and the Carja has sealed the gate in fearing the corrupted machines.

Aloy was thinking that if she clear corrupted machines then she may get the gate open. Now I had to clear 2 corrupted zones before heading towards the Carja Border Fort.

After clearing a corrupted zone while I was heading towards the second one, the sun was setting and there came this amazing color on the grasses and I really liked this scene.

Then I headed for the 2nd corrupted zone where there were bunch of corrupted watchers and they looked too dangerous to get close so I was thinking of killing them one by one and while doing it, they've noticed me several times but I hided myself.

And at last I cleared this zone as well and then I started heading towards the Carja Border Fort and I did override a big ox like machine called Broadhead that was stronger than striders and I used it to ride to Carja Border Fort.

Screenshot (13).png

When I reached the Carja Border Fort, I was thrilled seeing another Demon along with some corrupted watchers trying to get through the gate while the soldiers there were attacking those machines with arrows but it didn't seem like they were going to be able to kill those machines.

After getting killed by the Demon once there, I understood its going to be too harder to kill them alone so I took a different strategy.

I was shooting fire arrows to the Demon and leave to the back spot fast riding the Overhead so the Demon was not able to attack me and luckily it was not leaving its spot so I took this chance and I did it again and again till I killed it.

Screenshot (14).png

Then after killing the Demon and the corrupted Watchers, the gate was opened for me warmly.
A Carja Guard asked another guard to open the gate for Aloy and send words to Captain Balahn. The Carja Guard advised Aloy to talk to Captain Balahn before going to Meridian as he came from there long ago and he may give Aloy some tips about going to Meridian.

And the quest was completed at that point.

The next chapter will be coming soon.
Screenshots are my take from the game and there's a logo that I used on the thumbnail picture.

SEE YOU.

The game looks pretty good. I would spend almost the entire game taking screenshots. And the story makes it that much more interesting.

Yes its a fantastic game with a cool story. I won't blame you want to spend almost the entire game taking screenshots cause the graphics is so cool and the places are also cool that we may implement that wish without thinking twice.

Wow, the scene you mentioned in the post was really spectacular. I really enjoyed reading about Aloy's adventure. Let's see what's going to happen in Meridian.

Yeah that scene and now I'm getting fascinated seeing what they've done with the game.
I'll show more fantastic things in the next quest post.

Here's a glimpse of what's on the way. You see that big machine? Isn't that cool?

Wow, is that a cyber giraffe hahaha? It looks really good.

Thank you so much.

😲😱 This one is really crazy graphically speaking, your images do it honor, you can tell the game is amazing. I had fun reading this post, very nice work.

Cheers!

Thank you for your compliment. I spend some extra times for the screenshots to be a bit unique. I'm happy to know that you had fun reading my writing.

Some time ago I saw a member of the community playing this good game, he developed it by chapters in his blog until he managed to finish it, the graphics are great and very realistic.

Your gameplay is a bit long so I could not see it completely, but the time I saw it I could see that you are an expert in combat, I hope you achieve the goal of passing this good game. Thanks for sharing it, greetings!

Where did you watch him playing? Did he streaming it?

he developed it by chapters in his blog until he managed to finish it

I'm confused about developing by chapters in blog. Do you mean he is showing his gameplay here in according to chapter by chapter?

May I know the username of that player? so that I can see how he is playing.

Your gameplay is a bit long

I know I'm taking too much finishing a quest in this game. The next quest I finished last night and that took me 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete it. At first I tried to play as I wish where the maximum time was lost and then I had to change the strategy. And sometimes I stop to see the beautiful scenes as well which is not in the quest like in the last gameplay while I was riding towards the main quest, there was this big machine like a Giraffe and there were big crocodile similar machines as well, and flying machines. I stopped there to check on them and I had to fight a big crocodile machine there.

Look what I've found on my way.

The username of the colleague is a bit confusing, maybe he doesn't remember how it is written, I have searched my feed but as far as I could see he has some time without posting. But don't worry, if at some point I see him I will surely remember this and let you know.

For now keep enjoying the game, it doesn't matter if it gets a little complicated, just don't give up.

Thanks for your motivation. I'm not giving up.
