Rocket league sideswipe is a soccer game, the only difference is it is not played by people but cars, and that is why i find it fascinating. To tell you the truth this is actually the first time I am seeing a soccer game played by cars, who knows maybe there is a soccer game that is even played by animals. Nothing is impossible.
Rocket league is one of the mobile games in the epic game store, it has a pc version though which i find more advanced than this, but the mobile game is still stacked with fun and similar just a lot of difference in the camera view.
There are actually different moods of playing and each match is with real online players not bots, you can play an opponent or multiplay whereby you team up with another player to defeat an opponent.
There are quite a handful of skills to get familiar with, just as humans develop skills when playing soccer. Cars also have some skill for practice, and sometimes when I tried I just couldn't get my head wrapped around it.
For me I am still in the learning process and most of the time I get my ass whooped. There is a skill called dodge, it's similar to double jump where you critically strike the ball when your car is very close to the ball.
One thing I hate about trying skills out in rocket league is you hardly see an opening to perform any of these skills in the field, because of the uproar from each team to score a goal.
