Race to Champion! Rocket League: Ranked 2v2

in #hive-1402172 years ago

Hello, gamers. Hope you are doing well.

I am back to playing rocket league... in the last few days, I had not got much time to play it and this is one of those games where your game will get affected if you take long breaks. And this can be seen in my todays gameplay as well.

I played another session of over an hour, it was a good session for my ratings and I jumped a few divisions as well but I didn't feel I was playing at my best potential. I was rusty and even missing simple shots, I was doing much worse in training and in one game we got beat up in a 1v2 game... that was shameful, but my teammate was a jerk as well.

For those who are living under a rock and don't know what Rocket League is... it is one of the most famous vehicular soccer games created by Psyonix. You have to control a rocket-powered car and hit a large ball with that to score more goals than your opponent. It is a neat concept, combining both soccer and rocket-powered cars.

Anyways, here is the gameplay of the session that I recorded and uploaded to my Youtube.

I started with Diamond I division I and ended in division III. I was worried at the start, if I would have lost a few matches I would be doing back to Platinum. I need to go to higher diamonds to avoid going back to platinum, at least for this season.

The first game was close, we lost by just one goal. The scoreline was 1-2 at the end.

In the next game, we came back strongly and scored 4 goals in a row. And the scoreline was 4-2 in our favour after the full-time. I was still in the first division though.

The next game was a tough one, we got a bad start and conceded 2 goals early but we came back and the score was 3-3 until the last few seconds when they score the winning goal and I lost another match.

After, this heartbreaking loss, I won the next two games convincingly and got to division II. In the very next game, we got lucky again as one of the opponents left midway and we won the game easily.

I played a couple of more games where I won the first but lost the second one. It was a nice game and that got me to Division III.

Anyways, let me know if you want to play along.

Pro Gamer Tips:

  • Blame your teammate for your loss
  • You didn't lose, it was laggy
  • Only if I had a better monitor and graphics card.
  • My little brother was playing the match.
  • They were smurfing.
  • I didn't sleep for two days.
  • And the most important one: the Enemy team was hacking.

Thanks for reading...

Until next time...

That last goal in the first game you lost was sad, man. I'm sure you thought you could save that ball. I wish you could have, but don't worry. I'm sure you'll be in a better division soon.

Exactly, I thought I could but it was just over my car, a nice chip shot over me. And the angle was not great, going back to the goal while the ball is above is a weird position to save.
