Hello, I know I've kept you waiting for a while, but don't worry, our adventure in Calradia will continue until the end! By the way, for those who are wondering, I can tell you that my ear is better today. Even though my ear is not working, I feel better and in the meantime, why don't we ride together?
Short Summary of the Previous Episode
I had a child in the previous episode! I can't put that in the title because everyone thinks I'm clickbait XD I've improved a lot in blacksmithing and I've made a lot of money, I've bought myself new armor, I've found and assembled all the pieces of the dragon banner, I'm so close to building my kingdom. I also managed to make my clan level 4, which is a big step for me. When you grow your clan, you can create more troops and get more companions.
I have increased my wealth a lot since my last update. I now have 3.64m dinars. And I didn't just increase my wealth, I also increased my army by attacking all the marauders and bandits I saw. Now they are all top-tier killing machines. And one of my swords is worth about 40k dinars, exactly as I told you. So even if my money runs low, I can easily increase it again. Now everything is ready. For what? To found my kingdom. Of course, for that I need a settlement.
To take over a settlement you need to attack it, and to attack it you need to declare war on the kingdom that owns it. I spent a long time wandering around the map trying to figure out which kingdom to fight against, but it's a very difficult decision. Because I can't defeat a kingdom on my own. They can easily build armies of 1500 people and I am only 191. I can beat 500 people with this army because my soldiers are very strong, but I cannot beat 1500 people no matter how well I play. In this situation, there is only one option left. To attack a rebellious city.
How does a city rebel? Every settlement has a clear owner at the beginning of the game. For example, the Tyal I am standing in front of is a Sturgian city. If a Sturgian lord does not rule this city, the people may not be loyal to him. As you can see, it currently belongs to the Empire and has very little loyalty. Usually cities with loyalties below 20 revolt. Here the loyalty is 15.87. All I have to do is wait and take the city from the rebels as soon as it rebels. In this case I will not have declared war on any kingdom and will only be enemies with the rebels.
While we were waiting, one of the Khuzaitian armies decided to come and besiege the city. That would be a nightmare for me because I had been waiting here for so long and if Khuzait took it, loyalties could rise. I prayed for that not to happen and it didn't! The army dispersed just as they were about to lay siege to the city. The city wants to be mine!
Good thing I don't upload gameplay videos here because I waited for about 20 minutes for the city to revolt in front of me lol. Normally he should have revolted much earlier but whatever. Now all I have to do is attack one of their troops to start the battle.
I won the battle against the rebels without losing a single soldier! Normally if you give them a little bit of time they go through all the villages and gather a lot of troops and it's much harder to take the city but since I waited in front of the city I caught them by surprise.
Then I started besieging the city, as you can see they have a lot more soldiers than me but I'm ahead in the balance of power. This is because my soldiers are really top level. Also, I won't attack them right away, I'll wait for them to run out of food. They have 6 days of food and I have 175 days of food XD
The soldiers in the garrison fled from hunger and only the militia remained. You can think of the militia as the people. They are made up of weak soldiers. That's why my job will be easy. I killed the archers on the walls with my arrows and my soldiers easily entered the city.
I have succeeded! I've taken the city! And only one of my soldiers died. Wow, I didn't expect it to be so easy.
After capturing the city, I need to increase its loyalty to keep it. I left 60k dinars here so the city can develop. I also started all the construction I can. The loyalty is 72, but as you can see, it will decrease by 8 every day. If this continues, in 10 days the city will revolt again and I will do everything to prevent that from happening!
I have appointed my wife as governor of the city, she is a Sturgian lady and she will help me increase the loyalty of the city. She also has the ability to speed up construction.
My wife was sitting there when I entered to sit on the throne. If anyone else was sitting, I would have removed her, but she can sit. I hope it is comfortable!
To increase the city's loyalty, I need to solve problems both in the city and in the villages connected to it. A fugitive army was constantly collecting tribute from one of the villages. I tried to talk them down first because I am a pacifist leader. Luckily we talked them out of the problem or they would have been in trouble.
I even solved a feud problem to raise the loyalty of the city. I didn't want to fight with one of the villagers because they supply me with soldiers. Fortunately, we talked this problem out too.
Loyalty is down to 38. But the good news is that now it will go up instead of down because I solved many problems and everything is fine. Now I have everything I need to build a kingdom. All I have to do is to declare my kingdom.
Of course, I will leave that for the next chapter because this chapter has been long enough. I hope I can build the kingdom in the next chapter. Maybe there will be other obstacles, who knows? Also I can't wait to show you some images from the city. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. See you in the next chapter, take care!
