An Antoid Platoon typically consists of five to seven Fire Ants, each approximately the size of a man's fist. They are well-armored and wield shields and spears that, while tiny, provide a formidable defense and offense against the antoid's foes. Operating through a shared hive mind, the Antoid Platoon is employed to defend Ant Miners, other workers, the colony, and its queen. They are also known to become aggressive when invaders encroach upon their homes and surrounding territory.
Howdy fellow Splinterlanders! How's your battle progress going this season? Thanks to the new rules those of us with MAX-level summoners and cards are finally able to take the gloves off and smash our enemies with ease. I don't track my battles that much, but it seems like I've gone from winning less than half of my battles to about three-thirds of them now. It's about time we real players who've spent the time leveling up our cards get the use them with their full potential. The Diamond League was just a fantasy for me before, but I'm confident I'll make it there this season as I'm already deep into the Gold League with 8 days to go.
This was a battle without shields, Equal Opportunity meaning the weakest cards will get hit, but also Equalizer giving all cards the same level of health as the strongest card on either team. It was also a fairly low mana battle so it would've been unwise to throw a beast like Grum out because he would've used up too much mana and just boosted the life of all of the enemy's cards so I chose mostly 4 and 3 mana cards as did my enemy. We both went with the Exploding Rats for their speed and blast ability as well as the MVP of this battle, the Antoid Platoon because they are resistant to attacks and gain health when either a friendly or enemy card dies. Since shields were not allowed I guess we both figured not to use the water splinter and go with Tarsa's extra attack boost. I did the usual put the martyr card out first move and chose a few cards with self-heal. Something went wrong loading this battle so I had to refresh and only had about 40 seconds to decide what to do making this battle even more intense. I think I just had stronger and faster cards because the clock was at zero when I hit the battle button without getting much time to think of a solid strategy.
I know my collection of Chaos summoners are the cheapest and far from the most powerful cards and I'll probably never make it to the Champion League with them, but I'm still proud to have them all at MAX level and am happy to never worry about which splinters will be allowed. I used to have a favorite splinter and would neglect one splinter, but now I feel it's better to be spread out evenly and have a diversity of cards, not just the legendaries. I feel the hippo sucks, but at least I was able to MAX him out cheaply. I probably go with the dragons most of the time because they just seem to win the most, but water is probably my next most used splinter. What about you? Which is your favorite summoner? How much longer do you think it will be before the Silver and Gold Leagues are flooded with MAX-level summoners?
