This Game is Triggering Time Sadness...

The atmosphere is gloomy and somber. As the camera moved further closer to the characters, the vibe was melancholic and lonely. It was sunny this morning but felt sad suddenly because of this game. 😆

The next scene was on an island of--, I guess, their memories and things they like.

Example!!! Television.

I am not sure if they were friends or siblings. 🤨 Since there were no dialogues or texts, I was just guessing all the time. The two characters move coordinately. The navigation keys are simply the arrow keys and spacebar to trigger points.

Activated the past to activate the present

The objective of the game is to get through to the top. To get there, a lot of puzzles and tricks along the way. The player should collect the light (I guess the memories, encircled) into the lamp without the gloom (black light, encircled) eating it.

It is hard to explain in words but in short, the player has to activated the past to activate the present. The player should look for clues and triggers to further continue the game.

The second island took me 30 minutes to think of the triggers. The game won’t move unless I get the right triggers. From that point, I got used to the flow of the game. I wish there were some dialogues too, it was just pure melancholic, soft - almost lofi sad background music.

Slowmotion cut scene captures emotions

Upon completing the island, a cut scene will prompt. This is after the characters stand side by side overlooking the sea and thick clouds.

The music is again, beautiful and sad, playing in the background. The feelings were somewhat nostalgic and longing. I was sad for no reason, haha. 😆😆😆 I guess that game was truly designed to catch player’s emotions in a warm way. 😥

Triggering time sadness

Before playing this game, I did not research anything about it. Perhaps this is to give my raw impression and expect nothing about the game.
Why is this game triggering time sadness? 😫

Time, I mean, I felt time is a resource you can’t take back, so I was thinking about my childhood when I played this game. I remember my days when I was a kid who worried nothing but my consoles and toys.

I think this game is effective in triggering your emotions and memories. It comes with the theme too- the somber music background, the colors, and the storyline. I'm surprised that there were no dialogues. So maybe, it gives the player to create their narrative.

Overall, I recommend this game if you want to relax or go for a memory walk. It is not a rushed and complicated game, just the right complex of puzzle. For me, I will rate this game 9.5/10. 😄
