Let's play the Sims 3 ~ part three of the Kael Dynasty

In the last Sims 3 story-post our illustrious matriarch had been promoted, got herself a boyfriend, and was writing captivating yet incriminating articles about some of her local neighbours who had dared to speak down to her.

Life was good! She no longer felt like such a clown.

One day after getting home from work, a horse walked through the walls of her house and reared up on its hindlegs.

"You're a clown," it neighed. "I don't like clowns!"

She had never seen a horse before, and most certainly had never seen any animal simply walk through walls before, so she was quite happy and didn't even care that it thought she was a clown.

She blinked. And it was gone. Apparently she had fallen asleep whilst on the loo. Maybe it was time to have a day off work.

Screenshot-65.jpg

Taking advantage of her day off work, she sprinted to a show that was being held in a small park a few streets over.

The acrobatics display was terrible and she and the crowd laughed and laughed at the performer. She would have to write an article about this when she got home!

She slapped herself. No. She would not think about work. She was having a day off.

Determined to forget about her journalistic career for just a few measly hours, she rushed over to the Summer Festival in the central square. She skated around for a bit, entered an eating competition, filled up on a thousand hotdogs, but she still didn't feel right.

A fat man called her over.

"Hey! You work for News HQ?"

"I do, indeed!" She exclaimed, forgetting that she was supposed to be ignoring work for the day, and forgetting it even more as the man regaled her with the best gossip she had ever heard.

The Thorntons, one of the rich families in town, would not be getting a favourable article written about them. She clapped her hands with glee at the chaos she would soon deliver, then called her boyfriend to celebrate her impending promotion at the local 5-star restaurant.

Screenshot-80.jpg

Unfortunately there was a new chef at the restaurant.

After choking down dinner, Alexandria ran out of the restaurant and proceeded to vomit all over a random woman's shoes.

This restaurant was going to get a negative review too.

With a negative review printed about the so-called "best restaurant in town" and an article freshly inked about the salacious deeds of the Thornton family, Alexandria earned her next promotion and got to work expanding her house.

A study was most important. No more would she work at the library, surrounded by stinky townies.

She also bought a new oven, a toilet that wouldn't break every five minutes, and a new fridge! Everything was falling into place.

Screenshot-92.jpg

A few days later, after entertaining Connor for the first time at her home, he started dancing around her loungeroom and spoke of marriage.

Screenshot-95.jpg

The thought lingered in her mind for the longest time, for a whole hours' worth of time, and after finishing her cereal and enticing Connor back to the bedroom, she dropped down to her knees and proposed to the bearded fairy.

"Absolutely!" he cried.

And they were married within minutes thanks to the magic of the ever-watching Sims Overlord.

Screenshot-98.jpg

Although it wasn't important, Alexandria could hardly believe her luck as Connor moved into her family home and brought with him nearly $10,000 sim-moneys. And the wedding gifts that got mailed to them! They were worth another $4,000 sim-moneys!

She could expand their house -- their home!

And she did so with great gusto, making their house perfect for whatever could come in their future.

Now that Connor was a member of the Kael family, he felt the overwhelming urge to begin painting. Something told him that he needed to become a good enough artist to be able to paint portraits of his new lovely wife.

He would not disappoint! He whipped out his paintbrush and hurriedly began perfecting his art.

Maybe when he had fulfilled his purpose, he could focus on his life's goal of being a world renowned author.

Screenshot-113.jpg

Several blissful days of married life passed by in a haze. Connor was painting, Alexandria was working on multitudes of articles ready to print in the Sunset Valley Times, bestselling newspaper of News HQ, when, all of a sudden, an old friend invited them over to a party.

Connor declined. He needed to finish work on his painting. And as a bit of a loner, he hated crowds anyway. Alexandria, however, was happy to attend such an event... plus, it would give her some more gossip she could regale the town with. It was the perfect opportunity.

Screenshot-116.jpg

However, the very moment she walked through her old friend's door... all of her plans went up into the air.

There were puppies. Everywhere.

One of them pranced over to her and sniffed her hand. The crowd and partygoers and potential gossip all faded into the nothingness as she gently picked the puppy up and cradled it in her arms.

Screenshot-122.jpg

In a daze, she didn't even realise she had spoken to the owner of the puppies, held no control over her own being as she scored the pup for free, and was amazed to find herself walking through the doorway of her own house with the puppy still clenched firm in her hand.

"I will call you, 'Taffy,'" she whispered.

They played all night, running around and around the house, playing tug of war, playing with toys. Many pats and cuddles were had!

But it was such a long, exhausting day. Soon Alexandria went to bed filled with happiness over her new puppy friend.

Taffy, however, went to bed and was suddenly very, very against the idea of clowns. She sure hoped that her new owner didn't turn out to be one. 😬🤡

Until next time!! 🙃

I wish you all the best for 2022! Have a Happy New Year!

Alexandria seems like someone that someone else would put a hit on xD. Nice article!

If she keeps writing terrible, inflammatory articles about all the wealthy people in town, it could happen! 😱😅

I've only played the sims once, and that was back when one of them was released for the Nintendo DS, so I'm not even sure if it's possible, but it's the first thing I thought of when I read that part :p

😅 It's possible with a bit of maneuvering. It would involve switching families to actually play as the wealthy people then setting up some inconvenient traps to "murder" the sim in question. And she would then become a ghost and haunt their family forevermore, or until a ghostbuster comes along and steals her ghost.

The Sims can be a bit morbid sometimes!

Luckily, I don't think Alexandria has that in her future, but who knows what the future generations will bring. The last time I tried to do this Legacy Challenge (play the same family through the generations until you get to generation 10), my generation-2 sim was murdered by her partner because he happened to have the "gold digger" life wish. Which is basically marry into a rich family then witness the death of the rich partner.

Morbid game! Haha.

HAHAHA XD That's actually pretty epic!
