The City Awaits

Hey everyone 👋!

I finally finished Act II in Baldur’s Gate 2 and going to Act III. I finished it about a few weeks ago and have been stuck in the beginning of ACT III just because there is so much to explore and so many NPC and characters to talk to. Anyhow, here are some of my thoughts after finishing ACT II in this game and entering ACT III.

🔗 The lore of Baldur's gate 3 starts to expand and you get to know the two branches of factions that you can choose to support in the story. While there are numerous endings to it, it was a difficult decision choosing who to side with. Leaving the darkness from ACT II feels a little better because now we’re back to a lot more sunny areas and certainly not an underdark. In this area though, there are so many things to unlock and explore. The comparison between the previous two acts were quite apparent. While Act I and II have similar style to it and mission ACT III’s story is a bit more expanded.

🔗 There’s a lot more micro quests if you talk to the other characters and NPC all around the area. This makes it feel quite tedious and the reason why I dropped the game these last few weeks.

🔗 CT II was a lot more straightforward than ACT III. Perhaps it’s just me but I enjoy playing the first two acts more than this one.

! [ You can not go back to any ACT I or ACT II once you’re reaching Wyrm’s Crossing] There’s just no option to that.

🔗 I guess it has something to do with the lore.

🔗 While it gets significantly more interesting, it really took me a while to actually do the game again. In fact, I would rather create new characters and just play ACT I and ACT II on the loop.

🔗 What I also enjoy is that I love that though it’s $60, the game is fun and can be played offline. I don’t know when I’ll ever finish it because I need more motivation to play ACT III but it was worth the price.

Anyway, that’s my update so far and recently I’ve got my eyes on Black Myth Wukong and Civ 7. I made a goal to get the two of them since they are something I’ll most likely play and enjoy playing as well. I am interested in Black Myth Wukong cause it’s the stories I grew up with and kind of a nostalgia and from the gameplay I’ve seen the characters are also the same as what I remembered. So, who knows I’ll eventually finish Baldur Gate’s 3 but if I put my mind into it, maybe in the next 30-60 days I will be finishing it. See you in another BG3 journey!

Sort:

I haven't had a chance to play it, but from what I've seen it looks to be a very interesting and long game. There are so many things to do, isn't it overwhelming?

It can be a long game, depending on how you play it. I think the first and second act wasn't that overwhelming. It's the 3rd one that I feel too much quests and too many npc to talk to so you could unlock more HP and stuff.

Wait a minute! You play games??? No way!!!!

I thought you were only addicted to coffee 😜😜🫣just joking! (I am though 🫣😜)

This game looks absolutely amazing, it was wild on Hive a couple of months back... mayhaps I should try it

hahaha yeah! I play games :D and got addicted to it as well. You should try it if you love this type of game.

Once I get a better rig I'd be sure to try it.

On what rig are you playing this if I may ask?

Just MSI laptop haha the modern one, core i5, nothing too fancy
