Battle outcome
Extra rules are Earthquake and Odd Ones Out. In Earthquake, non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round. In Odd Ones Out, Only monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
My defense was made of Uriel the Purifier and Carnage Titan. Both monsters provide a whole lot of health and armor to the frontline, making sure I endure my opponent's attacks for a long time. That's a distinct mark of the Life Splinter team.
These defending picks go well with my Dragon Splinter summoner Quix the Devious because he reduces damage from enemy ranged attacks.
It's a good idea on high Mana matches such as this one, because monsters from the Bronze League level don't deal that much damage without being really squishy, except for Yodin, so Uriel would surely endure.
Uriel the Purifier has the Flying ability, making sure he doesn't die just because of the match's rules. This made a lot of difference over the many rounds of this battle and ended up making him the superior choice over the other team's Robo-Dragon Knight.
My offense consisted of Carnage Titan, Gold Dragon, Dragon Jumper and Lightning Dragon.
Albeit enduring, Carnage Titan has the Double Strike ability paired with the Reach ability, guarantying strong melee attacks against my opponent's frontline. Its heavy attack of a total of 4 damage makes sure somebody is hitting hard on the front door.
Gold Dragon is a bit big on the health side and it flies, making him a reliable magic damage dealer under the Earthquake rule.
Dragon Jumper picks off dying enemies for long enough, despite not having the Flying ability. He guarantees flow in my strategy, as is every monster's job when they have the Opportunity ability.
Last, but not least, Lightning Dragon hits quick and hits hard through ranged attacks. Paired with Carnage Titan, every piece of armor is easily shredded from anything under their fire.
My only support monster in this battle is Adelade Brightwing, who flies and has the Repair ability. She was really important in this match, as she provided continuous defense for Uriel the Purifier during nearly the entire match.
The battle flow was steady, but even though my opponent kept coming at me, Uriel the Purifier remained alive until the very end, falling in battle only a couple of rounds before it was all over. Gladly, no one else perished.
When it comes to my adversary, I think using a single Sniper ability monster in a high Mana battle stopped Silvershield Sheriff from ever becoming a threat, since he could never deal enough damage to Gold Dragon, his primary target, all by himself.
Also, void dragon came off as a weird pick, mostly useless, since he's pretty much useless in a high Mana battle.
