What's up hivers?
Today, I will talk about Century: Age of Ashes.
ABOUT THE GAME:
Century: Age of Ashes is a 2021 free-to-play aerial combat video game developed and published by Playwing Bordeaux. Set in a dark fantasy world, Century: Age of Ashes is a third person multiplayer arena battle video game in which the player can mount dragons and fight with them. In the game, players have to choose between three classes before each game, each with its unique design, abilities and customization: Marauder, Windguard and Phantom. The Marauder is a skilled hunter that can mark its prey. The Windguard is a supporting class that can shield its allies and the Phantom is a stealthy assassin that can cloak itself. Each class is bound to a specific kind of dragon.
Actually I got the hype to play this game after seeing some gameplays of @pusen (I hope you don't mind the tag). He is publishing some of his gameplays of Century with tips and tricks in his YouTube Channel and you can help him with his YouTube strategy by subscribing his channel and watching his videos. He is a good gamer so I'd say it's worth the time watching his gameplays.
Let's come to Century: Age of Ashes.
Century: Age of Ashes is a free to play game that anyone can find in steam app and it needs only 10.90 GB disk space.
I'm about to show one of my 3 VS 3 gameplay where I played like a pro NOOB, yes noob in a very professional way. LOL.
I've streamed live in twitch and later I did export it in YouTube.
I'm going to share both links here so that you may watch my gameplay without any problem.

At first I got a cool welcome message where at the bottom, I was suggested to play the tutorial before diving into the arena in order to familiarize myself with the game.
I lunched tutorial from there.
The home shows the character named Maraudar with his dragon behind him and there are some buttons that I can click on like Play, Dragon Pass, Classes, Shop, Bestiary and each options has more inside options like,
After clicking on the Play button, I've found two rooms which are Multiplayer and Training.
In Multiplayer, there are four more rooms which are Unranked 6V6, Ranked 6V6, Initiation 3V3 (for beginner), Skirmish 3V3 (Arena for pro).
Only the Initiation button was unlocked for me as I was/am a beginner and after I tried one Initiation match, the Unranked option was unlocked.
Then the Dragon Pass from where you can BUY premium dragon pass.
There are a lot of things there that you can buy to upgrade you dragon. There are some more rooms as Rewards, Quests, Lore and I checked the Rewards only.
Then there is Classes that I will talk about a bit later.
There's an option as Shop from where you can buy GEMS and Unique Starter Pack for USD ($).
That's all I wanted to talk about the menu feature, now let's ride the dragons.
As a beginner, I got only Initiation to play and I went for that.
I'm not sure but maybe the location of this play is called Hunavatn Lake and it's a 3 VS 3 match.
I got to see three rules of Initiation and those are,
- In Initiation, you have to chase and kill your opponents to give points to your team and win each round.
- The game is played in 3 rounds maximum. The first team to win 2 rounds wins the game.
- Make good use of shields and air flows on the map to protect yourself from enemy attacks.
And then CLASS.
My class is my character that I want to play with.
There are 3 characters, well actually 4 characters but 1 is locked, I don't know for how long. Each one has their own abilities.
At first we get Marauder who is known as skilled poachers and ruthless bounty hunters.
Marauder has some abilities as,
Relentless Predator, Hunter's Mark and Hunter's Fury.
Windguard uses their mounts powers to defend their allies at any cost.
Windguard has some abilities as,
Skeldian Resolve, Salvation Surge and Exaltation Surge.
Phantom rides mysterious, spiked beasts, able to escape or cause death at any time.
Phantom has some abilities as,
Guard Shatterer, Mystic Shroud and Mortal Shroud.
Stormraiser uphold a tradition dating back to several ages. Despite their dwindling numbers, their mystery of the storm grants them the strength of hundreds.
Stormraiser has some abilities as,
Valkurian Protection, Chain Lightning and Lightning Storm.
All those classes, they're best fit with their own abilities. As I haven't learned about their abilities yet so I'm unable to describe them in my way.
I got some time to select my class/character and the ability and I was confused about that. I chose Marauder at the last moment and I failed to select the ability for killing the given time so something was auto selected.
My other two teammates chose Phantom. My teammates are Slideshow20J and Vyllix.
Fire Legion VS Storm Legion.
In Fire Legion,
- Noomer (me) with Marauder
- Slideshow20J with Phantom
- Vyllix with Phantom
In Storm Legion
- Jimmys1000_GR_ with Marauder
- JordanJJoester with Phantom
- Esmikha with Windguard
Here I am. The Apprentice.
I started playing as the apprentice. Unlike the tutorial, the real play was so difficult and hard as we had real opponents there who were trying to burn us down. I started flying with my dragon and was trying to hit an opponent but I couldn't get a hold on someone for long.
Then suddenly someone flamed me from behind and I was dead. I was killed by Esmikha with Windguard. And then I was in the battlefield again and I was killed again.
And we lost the round. And Storm Legion won the first round.
Then there was the second round where I tried hard to get a hold on an opponent but I know why there's always someone behind me who likes to burn me down.
And according to the rules, we lost the match after we lost the second round.
Storm Legion won the match.
Here's the match summery.
I was second in our team rank with 100 score after died 3 times while Slideshow20J got the first place with 505 score after getting killed for 4 times and Vyllix got the third or last place with 65 score after getting killed for 3 times. Only Slideshow20J got kill from our team.
Our opponent team did very good if it comes to compare about the result. JordanJJoester from the opponent team got 7 kills with 1175 score and didn't died a single time. Other two opponent players did good as well, at least better than us.
Funny thing is, I was happy to find such noob gamers like me that I didn't need to blame myself only. LOL.
At last I understood, I need to practice a lot in order to get a hold onto this game otherwise I can't keep up with it.
I liked flying as a dragon, well, who won't like that? And the graphics of the game is so good.
