Celeste Adventures: Saving Theo from the Mirror Temple

Let's continue our Celeste climb. In the last episode I shared here, we fought against the Winds in the Golden Ridges and rode a Gondola which got stuck but it started again and we somehow reached the other side of the rope. What do we find on the other side?

A mysterious Temple!

Theo was excited to enter this place and didn't wait for Madeline. He wanted to get some more photos for his InstaPix followers...lol

This chapter is called the Mirror Temple and as soon as we entered the temple after Leo, we noticed his phone lying on the phone next to the mirror. Where did Theo go?

Later we saw him inside the mirror. This was a weird place for sure. The challenges here were not too difficult as well, especially towards the start.

Madeline blames herself again. She thinks the monsters here are somehow created by her mind.

She confronts the Other part of her again and asks about Theo and how to get out of there. The mountain gave that part of Madeline that body and she is using it to stop us or restrict us in any way possible. Both of them have bad relations right now. Madeline got angry and said she didn't need the help of her 'Other part'. Can she find Theo alone?

Finding Theo while solving the puzzles and little challenges here was fun. Finding keys to locked doors and unlocking them always feels good.

But one thing feels even better, collecting Strawberries. Even though they give no benefits other than boasting to your friends how many you have collected, they still feel great and oftentimes much harder than the usual platforming sections. I spent a lot of time collecting them. Some of them are placed in very tight spots and require multiple attempts.

Some rooms just have the berries to collect and they can be quite hard. Anyways, back to Theo... we entered into the mirror dimension too and had to fight against monsters. I think this was the first time when monsters chased us and tried to hurt us which can actively pursue the character. All the other ones had fixed movements and very predictable paths.

I won't share them here, you must play the game and find out this interesting part of the game.

And we finally found Theo! He was trapped inside a crystal and couldn't get out. So, we had to lift him and take it out.

While lifting the crystal we can only jump and not dash and climb walls. And to make it even more challenging some monsters cannot be killed permanently constantly chasing us.

Madeline made it out of the temple and rescued Theo. This was such a superhuman effort from her. She is dedicated to helping her friends and climbing the Celeste Mountain despite all the inner demons stuff.

This chapter was not this short as I made it look. There were a lot of branching rooms, so many Berries, monsters, unique puzzles and platforming challenges. It looked good too. All the eyes in the last section would follow us and it made me uncomfortable. I was expecting a Big Eye boss to fight against and there was one but it was easy.

I missed 11 Strawberries in this one. I have no idea where all of them were. I tried to collect all the ones that I encountered. But wait... I just remember not collecting one of them because I thought it was almost impossible to get there. But where are the rest 10? lol

Did I tell you it was not too difficult? But still, it took me 310 deaths to complete this chapter. Most of those deaths came from the later part of the chapter. I also failed to collect the B-side Cassette in this one. I will go through this chapter again and try to collect all the missing items.
