The last episode was long ago. I am having a hard time playing this title lately. In the last episode, I talked about defeating the boss, Giant Squid and helping Duff retrieve his item. Then we fought a mad ocean conservative and we had a new VIP guest in the Sushi restaurant who requested Moray Eel Curry which also unlocked the night diving. But that comes with the trade-off of less restaurant time and potentially less profits.
So, we had a couple of active quests, one to collect this Moray Eel and the other to go deeper and find the signs of the Sea People civilization. Last time it didn't go well and we ran out of oxygen.
But sometimes this game gives you a lot of side quests and objectives. We got a mail that there will be a Jellyfish party in three days and this will attract a lot of customers so there is a chance to make a lot of profit. Well, that means I have to collect a lot of them so I can meet the demands of all those hungry customers during the party.
I did exactly that but kept going deeper to see what I could find and it was a surprise. We found the Sea People!
But couldn't understand what they were saying and Dr. Bacon told us to come back to the boat for now. He will be working on a translator so we can understand them. One of them was hurt.
Dr. Bacon gave us some rewards for doing this objective. But told us to not leak this news to the world. Some people might start hunting them.
We met with another NPC who works for the local magazine and wanted us to take pictures of rare fish we found. He offered us his camera and rewards for each picture.
I upgraded my Air Tank to level 5 as well. It was an expensive upgrade but that will be really helpful going deeper, I guess.
And remember that translator? Turns out we had to find an 'Intercom Microphone' and read marks on the Sea People Stone Slab. I found the first part and came back up.
I spend some of my coins to train another staff member. The more they level up, the better they become at serving or cooking. Also, after a successful evening at the Sushi restaurant, we got enough likes to upgrade our Cooksta ranking to Gold.

This unlocked new recipes, menu slots, Kitchen staff etc. For the next level, I have to research 19 recipes and I just have 9 researched now. That's gonna take a long time.
It was my best day, even though I was a bit sloppy serving the dishes. Getting 1800 profit is no joke. I went and upgraded my Harpoon gun to the next level. It cost 1500 though, these upgrades are getting expensive.
The next day when I dived, I saw a strange coral. When Dave got closer to it to inspect it, it turned out to be an octopus. We had an encounter with this octopus once before. It sprayed on Dave, like last time, and tried to run away. But this time, we were adamant about catching it and we even used the gas cutter to enter the Octopus Cave.
We almost caught the bugger but it slipped through a crack in the wall. But it dropped an item. A 'Rusty Octopus Bracelet', it has the special effect of making you dash a short distance and I instantly equipped it. That would come in handy to escape from those Sharks.
During the same dive, I got to the Sea People cave to retrieve the slab so Dr. Baconcouldn start working on the translator.
One of the best things that happened with this session was the unexpected turnout of a large Humpback Whale. It was huge and I thought this would be dangerous but nope.
I decided to dive at night today and well this Deep Blue ocean looks so beautiful during the night.
I was here to find the Moray Eel for the VIP customer. These were big aggressive eels but I had a rifle and upgraded harpoon... it wasn't a fair fight lol.
I packed my bags with all the nocturnal fish and came back. It was time to go back to the Sushi restaurant and manage it.
Bancho prepared the Moray Eel Curry and we served our VIP customer, Otto. He was so happy to have it and it reminded him of his childhood. He shared a story involving the Eel as well.
Since we spent 1/3 time diving instead of running the restaurant today, our profits dipped. But it unlocked many new recipes and this trade-off was worth it.
This time around, we made a lot of progress. Now, I have to catch a lot of Jellyfish and prepare for the upcoming Jellyfish Party.
