Hello, gamers. I hope you are doing well.
I haven't shared a Rocket League post for a while, but that doesn't mean I am not playing it. It is still one of my go-to games whenever I want to spend some casual playing time. A game typically lasts about 7-8 minutes, so I can easily do a couple quickly and more if I get a good game.
I played many games today and tested the new Steam recording feature as well. I didn't realise when they added this into the Steam launcher but it was super easy and simple to set up just like the Nvidia Geforce Experience thing which records clips and whatnot. But that Gefore one doesn't seem to have enough customization options, it records the entire system sound rather than just the game sound which sucks as I love to listen to music or some podcast while playing these games. So, finding that neat and customizable Steam recording thing was so good.
I recorded a lot of clips too other than full games. The games weren't too interesting but some of the goals were good enough to make clips out of them.
Here is one of them, did I say goals? I meant my own goal lol.
My own goals are always lurking when I play. There is hardly any when I play a long session. I made my teammate pretty mad with the above one. But that was clean. Hope I can score like that on the other goal too.
But there were some moments of brilliance along with these dumb own goals. One of them was this play where I demolished one guy, didn't let the other opponent have an easy backboard pass to himself, a controlled touch from the side wall beating an opponent and then a smooth final touch to sail it over the last defender while narrowly dodging my teammate. That was a very satisfying sequence.
The one I shared as the GIF at the start of the post was a beautiful goal too. A bit lucky for sure, but fortunate favours the brain, right? I just saw the ball going a bit away from the last defender and went for the ball. The full boost meter gave me enough confidence and power to reach there just in time to have the faintest of touch and the ball was going into the net. I made sure it went in at the end but it wasn't necessary.
I recorded some clips yesterday with the Nvidea Shadowplay too and one of them turned out really cool. I love demos and this one had a couple of them. First, I deleted a car and then as I passed the ball to my teammate and they were about to score, my car got deleted off the field and then the final goal exploded. That's why I called this Boooooom. xD
Rocket Pass Updates!
It is a tradition to talk about my Rocket Pass progress. Just like the last season, I got the Pass in this one too which gives me the premium rewards as I progress through Rocket Pass tiers.
The rewards are not that great for this season but I love the goal explosion bubbles. That's what I am using with my Fennec car preset.
Drops and Rewards
I am collecting most of the drops and just opening a few here and there. One of the coolest rewards I got was the Zomba tires some time ago. They used to be so popular when I started playing RL years ago, especially the White Titanium ones were going for crazy high prices. Now, that market is dead because Epic killed the in-game trading and that was such a good way to make the die dye even faster.
This is what the tyres look like, they have a nice Mandela art animation going on.
Time to show my overall stats. I played a total of 10136 career games! Just recently crossed the 10K games mark. I got a healthy win percentage, above 53% and now over 17K career goals (Yeah, I have wasted my life on this game...lol), averaging 1.7 goals per game is not bad at all.

- You played well, but your teammate sucks!
- You didn't lose, the server was laggy!
- Only if you had a better monitor and graphics card!
- Your little brother was playing the match!
- They were Smurfing!
- You didn't sleep for two days straight!
- And the most important one: They were Hacking!
- Your mom called you in the middle of the game!
- Your girlfriend was texting you during the game!
- You were getting death threats from your lender!
- Gaming Gods were angry at you!
