Hello Everyone,
I'm back with another spiritfarer adventure, In the last post we went to a tourist attraction that I never imagined would exist in this world. and it was nice too, surfing through those paddy fields and learning about the history of an island. Maybe we'll get to visit another island like this. after that, we went to check out the marker on the map which was bothering me for a long time, and unexpectedly we met Alex the dolphin who is another quirky character, this game has everything, this game knows when to make you cry and when to make you laugh, this is a nice experience. You guys should play this game too, and the stunning art goes well with this game, and for someone who only played hack-and-slash, action-type games, this is something new for me. I hope to play such in the future, I feel kinda missed out on not playing a game like this all these years.
Anyway, we met Alex in the last post, and after that, we went around the place to collect the shipwrecks, and this place was filled with shipwrecks. when sailing I started to fish and got another message in the bottle, I thought this would be another brochure for another Island or something but I don't know who wrote it and why wrote it, but it looked like a poem or something " A Lumberjack without an axe. crying and sobbing. Old trees aren't feeling the cutting. We'll grow old, they said, Laughing." this makes me remember a few posts ago, I went to this island and there was this lost soul going around, when I talked to him he said he forgot his axe, and without his axe, he couldn't cut trees, so he was just crying there. I would've helped him if I could, but it is what it is. there is no option for me to help him, he is probably wandering around the island crying. Maybe I met that lumberjack, now I will meet talking trees or something? I am not sure how to take this, I am just overthinking this. but it would be cool if it was a foreshadowing.
After collecting the wreckage, I set sail to another shipwreck but since its already nightfall, the ship cant be sailed now, so I went to finish chores around the ship, then I found out the sawmill Atul asked for can be built if I had few more linen threads, so I went to the field and harvested the plants that are grown, the linen is among them and went to loom and made some linen thread with the linen I got from fields. now I have enough resources to build the sawmill. and I built it and placed it next to the loom so it would be easy to access. I then moved Gwen's home above since she is the only one using that building. After building the sawmill, I tried to use it, but I didn't know how to make planks with it, I put five maple logs there but received four maple logs and one sawdust. it was a waste, I then went to sleep it off, and when woke up, Atul was very excited to see his sawmill, and he told that he will teach Stella how to use the sawmill.
Then set sail to a nearby island next thing in the morning, and went to check up on the sawmill, Atul was already there waiting for Stella. there was a small problem in the sawmill, which he then fixed with just a hammer. after that it was ready to be used, when the log has been placed the machine will run and we have to control the red color saw and make it align with the line cut out on the logs, doing this process will give one plank and one sawdust. but this mechanic is somewhat difficult but it works, and when on idle, Atul would make some plank for me, just like Gwen does on the loom. As I was talking to him, we then reached the Iwashima countryside island.
This island also had most of the flora from the last tourist island. when entering the island I saw a street lamp and atop it is the thing where we can interact and it unlocks things such as necklaces, seeds, etc. I tried so much to get it but had no luck, I thought maybe I have a locked skill and as I progress I will unlock it and can get to the top of the lamp, just like how it happened with the double jump feature. I then proceeded to cut down some oak trees, there was another lamp and you can get to the top of that light lamp, then it occurred to me, I think we can jump on that oak tree, If only I had seen that light lamp, I would have tried, I felt like dumb cutting down the tree. it's alright, after all, I would get a necklace that would fetch me around a thousand glims if I sold it to Francis. I can get that amount by simply selling ten coffees to him. I then went to explore the island and saw two souls on a bridge, when I talked to them they were having a spitting contest to see who will spit at a longer distance, such silly guys, I think these are the souls of kids, now it's dark. then I went to the oak forest and collected some logs and I found some copper ores and limestones too which is super helpful.
I then went to ship, speak of the devil, I was just thinking about Francis and here he is since there is an errand unlocked, he wanted Stella to look at the errands. th second errand request is to get a fish called sole and a squid and sockeye salmon, which would fetch me a thousand glims and two maple syrups, I am not sure what to do with the maple syrups, but yes. the important part is they are not required to cook, I tend to cook everything when I fish, and last errand was to give three cooked food such as squid skewers, grilled veggie, and grilled fish. so I thought it always would be cooked food. anyway, ill just keep that in mind when fishing in the future.
Thank you for sticking around until the end. We will see how it goes at Gwen's parent's mansion in the next post and Atul wants to say something to Stella in the background you can see it in the last two screenshots. I hope you guys liked this post, if you have any opinion about this post or game please feel free to leave a comment.
Thank you and have a nice day!!!
Game On!!
