Zagreus' Big Adventure: Breaking Free from the Underworld || The next level.

Hello everyone,

After exploring the house of Hades, it's time to break out of the underworld again and try to beat this level, when I was still exploring the house of Hades, I chose to unlock the coronacht, the heart seeker. because I only had one key and the price to unlock this weapon is only one key, so I just wanted to try this weapon. then I entered the chambers to commit to one of our breakout sessions.

personally, I don't like bow and arrow very much, this game is not an exception, since I have to hold and release the attack button to even launch a light attack. but I just wanted to use this weapon once since I unlocked it. but I never thought this weapon was really good, this weapon has some handicaps such as you have to hold to launch even a light attack, but it also comes with a good advantage, I'll talk about it later on in this post, so buckle up : )

As soon as I started the level, there was already a powerup with a thunder sigil in there, if you have watched any kind of movie or game that's based on Greek mythology, you know what this means, yes this is none other than Zeus himself, lending his power to Zagreus so that he can break out from the underworld. I thought only a handful of gods were involved in the breakout matter, but never thought ill see Zeus himself this early on in the game too, I wonder what kind of powers he's gonna lend us, of course, they are going to be thunder related.

Here he is, the king of gods himself, but I am not sure what to make up of this, at this point even I have doubts that Olympians are plotting something, but we'll have to see how it goes. but he offered some good boons tho.

I ended up choosing the lightning strike boon since the light attack is the only attack Im gonna use more often than others, also the lightning strike boon spawns a chain of lightning to the nearby foes of the enemy we are attacking, so this would be really helpful when crowd controlling.

I think the enemies spawned in the first chamber itself so that we can see how the boon works, and it was very useful when there are a larger number of enemies attacking. the chain lightning is an absolute banger.

clearing the chambers takes time with this weapon, but it was really easy since we have a range and the chain lightning boon.

After clearing a few chambers, I got some darkness and some health, and now to upgrade the boons I chose the room with the thunder sigil because I wanted to power up Zeus's boon and see how much more powerful I can become.

As I thought the lightning strike boon really helped me in crowd controlling, with the boons of Zeus, clearing this chamber is really easy, and in the end, I got to upgrade the boons once again.

There were new boons to choose from, the thunder dash was already available in the last upgrade, and the new boons were storm lightning and static discharge, which are a bit more advanced than what was available before. but I chose thunder dash since I dash more often too, so I thought when I flee from a group of enemies, this power could come in handy.

after clearing some chambers, I got a key and some coins, then the mid-boss chamber spawned, with the sword of Hades it was easy to beat them, but with this weapon, it was really hard beat them, since they move really fast and you have to hold the attack to do some decent damage, so I took a lot of beating and I regretted choosing this weapon. I also got to choose the boons of Athena which had super rare and epic powers. I ended up choosing the epic boon because it was epic and I didn't want to waste this chance.

the Next chamber was a bit different, I have to survive for 45 seconds and there were all kinds of foes spawning, I legit thought I am gonna die here but somehow I managed to survive this chamber.

After clearing some chambers, I finally met the boss of the first level, Megeara, the first of the furies. I know I can't beat her since the weapon I am having is something id never use to beat a boss, but I didn't have any choice here, so I tried my best to beat her.

I somehow brought her health to half but I had very little health too, but I tried to evade as many attacks as possible, the small enemies spawned were really annoying.

In the end, I brought her health to like 10%, but I only had one health too, I had hope that Ill defeat her, but then she did damage to me and I died.

But then Zagreus just respawned with half of his health, I was really surprised at what happened, moments ago I dropped my controller and then he's just standing there with 50% of his health. Then I remembered that I bought an upgrade called Death Defiant which revives Zagreus with half of his health, I was so lucky and I almost beat her with the little health I had before, but now I have more than enough health to defeat her.

Then I defeated her, I was so surprised that I defeated her, that I forgot what I was doing and sold all of the upgrades I built clearing all these chambers, then I lost motivation to continue too, but I wanted to know how far I can go. If you are interested watch the video I left below.

Thank you for stopping by : )

Kind of want to replay Hades for the storytelling again. First rogue-lite that hooked me in because of the story while gameplay being fantastic at the same time.

Yeah man, artstyle is also stunning, making the game more epic.
