Welcome Everyone
Hello Hivers and Warriors in Splinterlands, hope you all are having a great time enjoying your battles in Splinterlands. Let's enjoy the game and fight for some amazing rewards. Having battles in Splinterlands is always a good choice to spend your time. I enjoy every battles in Splinterlands and had great time in opening Rebellion packs. Normally, I will share anything about Splinterlands on the social media, it could be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
The topic of this post will mainly focus on my strategy on the Going the Distance rule set. And let's move on and discuss how we won the battle.
The Principal Rule Set: Going the Distance
Going the Distance: Only units with ranged attacks may be used.
Note: Try to use return fire ability in the battle. Or you can go for another way, debuff range attack debuff combination. In this battle, I will show you my debuff strategy.
The Battle Rules
17 Mana Cost
Going the distance: Only monsters with range attack may be used.
Five Alive: Up to five units can be used.
EQUALIZER: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

The Lineup Analysis
Summoner
The QUIX THE DEVIOUS is a good fit for this battle since I want to go for the nerf way to counter my enemy. The -1 range attack and -1 speed is super useful for me to work on this strategy, plus, the dragon element also has some decent monster of range attack type.
Front Row
The ANGELIC MANDARIN is my front tank since it has the most health of 7 by costing 3 mana. With the help of nerf my enemy from Quix. The ANGELIC MANDARIN is good enough to be my front tank while healing my backline monster with triage ability.
Second
The NAGA ASSASSIN could buff my whole team with speed boost. I put it as my second monster since it is a high speed ranger with the backfire ability. Two damage could return to the enemy if the enemy miss the attack, thinking about that the combination of Quix and my NAGA ASSASSIN could be a combo to win this battle.
Third
The XENITH ARCHER is a useful low mana ranger with decent stats but no abilities. It has 2 attack and 4 speed which is pretty awesome to fit into this battle since it is a low mana battle.
Fourth
The IGOR DARKSPEAR is my favorite ranger monster in water element especially in low super cost battles since it only cost 2 man while having 3 attack and the stun ability. All the stats of the IGOR DARKSPEAR are balanced and the ability is cool since we can have 50% chance to stun the enemy to skip 1 round.
Fifth
The KULU SWIMHUNTER is also a good fit of this battle since my enemy could also have possibility to use Quix as summoner to counter me. Therefore, I should pick up at least one monster above 4 range attack to ensure I still have monster that is over 1 attack even under the nerf. The KULU SWIMHUNTER is a 4 mana monster with high speed and decent attack stats. The health is also good, while it does not have any ability except the good stats, just like most monster with those stats and no abilities.
Battle Result
It was a good example to proof that the Quix and speed boost strategy works well when we are having a range only battle. As a result, my reflection is that I will keep use this strategy when the rule set is favorable or I have enough mana to pick all the monsters with relevant ability to make a combination.
Win Rate Analysis
The strategy works well since my enemy have 0% of chance in winning this battle based on 100 battles of simulation in Xbot. This website helps me improve my win rate as the time goes by since I normally check every win rate of my rank battles afterwards, which helps me build up better strategy to make more wins. Definitely suggest all of you or new comers in Splinterlands to utilize the function of this tool.
