Hello everyone! Are you ready for another "Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge"? 🌟✨
Every week, Splinterlands is posting a battle challenge for everyone to showcase their cards, strategies and luck in battle. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newbie, there's something for everyone in this battle challenge. Join us on Splinterlands and become part of the legendary saga of the Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! ✨🔮

For this week's challenge, we will showcase the 'Rise of the Commons' ruleset, where only common and rare units may be used in battles. I will share a Ferexian Modern Silver Invitational Tournament Battle. Let's take a closer look at the card I used in this this ruleset and how it contributed to my team's victory.

Rise of the Commons
Only common and rare units may be used in battles.
Summoners are unaffected by this rule.

Battle Configuration

For this battle, here are the specific rulesets and a mana cap to consider:

Mana Cap: 26
Active Elements: Fire, Earth, Death and Dragon
Active Rulesets:

  • Rise of the Commons: Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.
  • FiveAlive: Up to Five Units can be used.
  • Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.

Summoner: Waka Spiritblade

  • Abilities: Give friendly units with the ability to apply poison to the enemy.

Position 1: Cursed Windeku

  • This monster the Thorn ability and if combined with Waka Spiritblade's Poison, it can add more damage to the enemy.

Position 2: Chaos Agent

  • Though this unit has no attack power, it will benefit from Moxian Rebel's Weapon training and will receive 1 Magic Attack power.

Position 3: Moxian Rebel

  • This common card is very useful in battle when partnered with monsters with no attack power like Chaos Agent. Adjacent monsters with no attach power will receive a 1 Magic Attack from Weapons Training ability.

Position 4: Rifwing

  • Like the Chaos Agent, this also has no attack power and will benefit from Moxian Rebel's Weapon training and will receive 1 Magic Attack power.

Position 5: Dhampir Stalker

  • For a common card to have a massive attack power and True Strike ability, this card can be a beast in Rise of the Commons Ruleset.

Strategy:

The strategy here is to have the enemy afflicted by poison dud to Waka Spiritblade's ability. So even these cards are only common and rare, an additional skill is a huge advantage in battle.

Let's Rumble

The enemy used Lobb Lowland to summon a gladiator card Katrelba Gobson. This card is quite nasty that when left uncheck, could single handedly defeat my line up.

Let the battle begins!

Round 4

At first, I got quite nervous because Katrelba Gobson instantly defeated Dhampir Stalker and this activated its Bloodlust ability. Luckily, the enemy front line - Hill Giant was also defeated in the first round and this put Katrelba Gobson in the first position already. Here it will face to face with Curse Windeku and its Thorn ability. In the next round, both Cursed Windekue and Katrelba Gobson were defeated and things went according to my plan.
