For this week's challenge, we will showcase the 'Holy Protection' ruleset, where all units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0. I will share a Ranked battle in Wild Format utilizing this ruleset. Let's take a closer look at the card I used to win in this ruleset and how it contributed to my team's victory.

For this battle, here are the specific rulesets and a mana cap to consider:
Rulesets:
Up Close & Personal: Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.
What Doesn't Kill You: All Monsters have the Enrage ability.
Holy Protection: All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
Mana Cap: 16
Active Elements: Life, Death, Dragon
Summoner: Waka Spiritblade
- Grants allied monsters' attack to have a 50% chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied. Even if the monster has the Holy Protection, the poison can still be applied in the first attack.
1st Position: Harklaw
-- This monster has the Shield ability that reduces damage from melee and ranged attacks by 50%. It also has Demoralize that reduces the melee attack of all enemy units by 1. This 2 abilities are good combo when the one of the ruleset is Up Close & Personal.
2nd Position: Shadow Snitch
-- It has the Reach ability that can attack when its in the 2nd position. It also a good amount of Speed to ensure that it can apply the poison first.
3rd and 4th Positions: Corpse Fiend / Carrion Shade
-- These are my filler monsters for additional barrier from back attacks.
Strategy: The strategy for this battle is to weaken the enemy melee attack and to make them less efficient in attacking Harklaw using its Shield ability. The mana cap is 16 only and that gives me a limited selection of monsters to be used. For that, I used this strategy because I thought that the enemy will just use monster with melee attack and has no other combined attack. Also, the Holy Protection Ruleset will act as a 2nd chance to apply the poison to the enemy.
The enemy used General Sloan but its ability will not have any effect to melee monsters. The enemy line up consists of melee monsters with the highest attack of 2 only. Having said that, Harklaw's Demoralize and Shield will be very effective in this match.
The fight is a one sided match and was over powered in terms of monster ability. The Holy Protection and Poison abilities also comes in handy in this battle and did not let my other monster to die easily.
