Not long ago was April Fools' Day, a celebration that many people take seriously to play pranks on the gullible and, as happens every day on the internet, spread misinformation, but now with justification. Apart from all that, some curious things happened that day, the first being that Hollow Knight Silksong now has a page on the Xbox store (and that's not a joke), and the other is that someone decided to gift a game on Steam, more precisely Content Warning, a game that nobody knows because it was literally released for free, and now if you want to play it, you have to buy it if you didn't redeem it.

In summary, have you played Lethal Company? Well, you can get a pretty good idea of the directions this game takes. Did you like it? Get ready because you might dedicate quite a few hours to it. Unfortunately, like Lethal, you need friends to make it more fun; otherwise, the game loses much of its charm.

Here we depart from outer space and procedural planets to delve into what appears to be underground places. Is it to settle a debt? No, but rather in search of what every young person desperately seeks these days – becoming famous on the internet.

In a wetsuit and with up to 3 more friends, we must take a camera and 4 flashlights with a clear goal, "record something scary," to later upload the video to "SpookTube" and achieve a daily quota of views and some economic gains that definitely are not trying to be realistic if we consider YouTube monetization.

The camera has a rather curious operation and is for me the best part of the game - the person carrying it can choose to record in front of them or use the selfie mode to record themselves. However, unfortunately, the camera roll is not infinite. You can only record a total of 90 seconds before it runs out. This doesn't mean you have to record EVERYTHING in a 90-second span; you can pause the recording, and in the end, everything will be condensed into 90 seconds.

It is worth specifying that you are carrying an oxygen tank, so even if you take good care of the camera roll, you cannot take too long to record all the shots; otherwise, the oxygen won't be enough to escape.

The ideal thing is that during the video you try to record things that, as the game indicates, are scary, and when you descend in the "submarine" you may encounter creatures that can kill you, like a kind of creature that approaches you and you must blind it with the flashlight so that it disappears, otherwise it will drag you to your death. There is another monster that throws a kind of "grenade" that you better get away from or it can kill you.

If you manage to survive these enemies and go further down in this creepy, deadly, and terrifying place, there is a kind of giant turret robot that will pursue you and shoot you until you die as soon as it detects you, and stamina is not infinite so it's best to avoid being detected. In my case, I couldn't go deeper into this with my friends because someone always died and so far the medical bills are quite expensive, money you can save to spend on items to improve your videos, like microphones, or items to defend yourself like a stun gun, there are some items whose functionality we haven't even been able to explore, and I'm sure some are more for having a laugh with your friends than anything else.

I am not sure if it's intentional, or if it's a bug that they have already fixed in one of their recent patches, but it happened to us a few times that when extracting the video from the camera an error occurred and we lost a day of potential visits after having risked our necks for a bit of recognition on the internet, although the laughter was not lacking. Something that I really like is that after watching the final video of the day you can save it on your PC to share it wherever you want, which evidently also makes it clear that the game is designed around internet virality, and it cannot be denied that it succeeded, with more than 6 million players redeeming the game on Steam and reaching a peak of 200,000 concurrent players, not bad for a game that came out of nowhere.

In addition, the community has quite nimble hands and they have already started to release mods that increase the maximum number of players, modify the camera's operation, and things like that, which are always appreciated if you and 10 more friends want to do crazy things.

Hace no mucho fue el April Fools’ day, una celebración que muchas personas se toman en serio para hacer bromas a los incautos y, como ocurre día tras día en internet, desinformar, pero ahora con justificación. Fuera de todo eso, ese día pasaron cosas curiosas, la primera es que Hollow Knight Silksong ahora tiene página en la tienda de Xbox (y no es una broma), y la otra es que alguien decidió regalar un juego en Steam, más concretamente Content Warning, un juego que nadie conoce porque literalmente se lanzó siendo gratuito, y ahora si quieres jugarlo debes comprarlo si es que no lo canjeaste.

Resumiendo, ¿Has jugado Lethal Company?, pues puedes hacerte una muy buena idea de las direcciones que toma este juego, ¿te gustó?, prepárate porque igual le vas a dedicar unas buenas horas, lamentablemente al igual que el Lethal necesitas amigos para que sea más divertido, de lo contrario el juego pierde mucho de su encanto.

Aquí nos alejamos del espacio exterior y los planetas procedurales para irnos a lo que parece ser lugares subterráneos, ¿para saldar una deuda?, no, sino en busca de aquello que todo joven busca desesperadamente en estos días, hacerse famoso en internet.

Con un traje de buzo y hasta 3 amigos más debemos tomar una cámara y 4 linternas con un objetivo bien claro, “grabar algo que de miedo”, para posteriormente subir el video a “SpookTube” y conseguir una cuota diaria de visitas y unas ganancias económicas que definitivamente no están intentando ser realistas si tenemos en cuenta la monetización de YouTube.

La cámara tiene un funcionamiento bastante curioso y es para mi lo mejor del juego, quien la lleva puede escoger si grabar hacia el frente o utilizar el modo selfie para grabarse a sí mismo, pero lamentablemente el rollo de la cámara no es infinito, sino que puedes grabar un total de 90 segundos antes de que se termine, no significa que debes grabar TODO en un lapso de 90 segundos, sino que puedes ir pausando la grabación y al final todo se mostrará condensado en 90 segundos.

Vale la pena especificar que llevas un tanque de oxígeno, por lo que aunque cuides bien del rollo de la cámara no puedes tardar mucho en grabar todas las tomas o de lo contrario el oxígeno no alcanzará para escapar.

Lo ideal es que durante el video intentes grabar cosas que, como te indica el juego, den miedo, y cuando desciendes en el “submarino” puedes encontrarte criaturas que pueden matarte, como una especie de criatura que se acerca a ti y debes cegar con la linterna para que desaparezca, de lo contrario te va a arrastrar hasta tu muerte. Hay otro monstruo que arroja una especie de “granada” que mejor te alejas o es capaz de matarte.

Si logras sobrevivir a estos enemigos y bajar más en este lugar tétrico, mortal y aterrador hay una especie de robot torreta gigante que apenas te detecte te perseguirá y disparará hasta matarte, y la stamina no es infinita así que lo mejor es evitar que te detecte, en mi caso no pude ir más al fondo de esto con mis amigos porque siempre alguien moría y hasta el momento las facturas médicas son bastante caras, dinero que puedes ahorrarte para gastar en objetos para mejorar tus videos, como micrófonos, u objetos para defenderte como un taser eléctrico, hay algunos objetos cuya funcionalidad ni siquiera hemos podido explorar, y estoy segura que algunos son más para sacarte unas risas con tus amigos que cualquier otra cosa.

Desconozco si es algo intencional, o si es un bug que ya arreglaron en alguno de sus últimos parches, pero nos pasó algunas veces que al extraer el video de la cámara ocurría un error y perdíamos un día de potenciales visitas después de habernos jugado el cuello por un poco de reconocimiento en internet, eso sí, las risas no faltaron. Algo que me gusta mucho es que después de ver el video final del día puedes guardarlo en tu PC para compartirlo donde quieras, lo cual evidentemente también deja claro que el juego está diseñado en torno a la viralidad de internet, y no se puede negar que lo consiguió, más de 6 millones de jugadores canjearon el juego en Steam y alcanzó un peak de jugadores simultáneos de 200.000, nada mal para un juego que salió de la nada.

Además, la comunidad tiene manos bastante ágiles y ya han empezado a sacar mods que aumentan el número máximo de jugadores, modifican el funcionamiento de la cámara y cosas así, los cuales siempre se agradecen si tú y 10 amigos más quieren hacer locuras.
