Whatsup Gamers And Hivers!
So it seems we have drawn to the end of the For Honor series with the last battle being fought between The Samurai and The Knights.
I have to say that I will be missing this game a lot and I probably will do a rerun of it sometime it is definitely one of the most fun games in the hack and slash category that I have ever played and with that said it's not even one of the newer games, it's almost six years old now and I only started playing it a few months back.
Well since it's the end of this series and I have to replace this content with something else any suggestions would be highly appreciated otherwise I'll be picking the first thing my eye catches!
It's clear that Appolyon did not expect this attack at all or not as soon as it came. First she pitted the Viking clans against each other in a desperate move to let them kill themselves out and once she has somewhat succeeded with that she moved on to the Samurai and instilled the same revolution among their people.
But what she did not account for was how disciplined the Samurai's can be and that they were able to rejoin forces a lot faster than she has anticipated.
This was her downfall.
As any dog trapped in a corner it will fight till the last second, never to give up.
This was exactly the case for Appolyon she would not accept defeat until she was on the ground dead and bleeding out.
Fear a man who has nothing left to lose.
And so the siege on Appolyon's mighty fortress has begun, a castle that would not fall easily. Many men would be lost here on this day but it will be for the sake of all the kingdoms.
The one last chance we have at uniting all.
The Samurai, The Vikings And The Knights all combining their strength for a secured future peace!
With the element of surprise we have managed to enter the castle before they even knew what was going on and battles fought in dissaray are sure to be lost, it's a morale killer and would certainly be the cause of men fleeing in horror trying to save only themselves!
The only problem now was getting the armies through the gates in time to gain control over this vast fortress.
The first task I set to after gaining access to the castle was to destroy the corridors which allowed reinforcements to stream in like wild fire and with the reinforcing routes blocked off their troops would have to find alternative routes to reinforce the castle and every second they are kept off the battlefield is a second we can gain ground on.
This would prove to be a time precious battle of which we did not have much of.
The blocking of the corridors proved to be an easy task or a clerical error on the side of the enemy with most doorways leading out from the corridors having lantern with crude oil beneath them to continuously light the corridor.
Well let's just say they were ticking time bombs waiting for a open flame!
I then joined up with Okuma as we set out to carve a path through the castle for our soldiers to be able to take more parts of this fortress.
I am glad Okuma has made it this far, he is definitely a samurai that I want next to me in this final battle.
Not just is he a great warrior but he is a strong one at that, one that would prove usefull is moving heavy objects and smashing open gates or keeping them up and open long enough for me to cross.
The most usefull part was that he was a big man and was easily able to draw attention away from me, a bigger target is much easier to hit so naturally they focused on him which would prove to be another clerical error on the defending side.
After leaving Okuma behind to cover my rear for any who might try and ambush me from behind I started making my way up the burning tower clearing floor after floor of Appolyon's most humble servants. A battle that proved harder than it looked, fighting amid flames and falling rubble was not a easy task, but one that was needed.
Fighting in hopes of finding Appolyon at the top!
Reaching the top to the sounds of Knights fighting to the end was not a welcome sight. This meant that she would not lay down her arms, not even for the men who were once her own people. She slaughtered them as if they were sheep amongst the wolves.
One by one they fell like flies.
I even asked her to lay down her swords and face justice, but that was not something that she was willing to do.
Live by the sword and die by the sword.
It seems this would be a battle that would lead to one of us ending up in the dirt.
And so it began! The war for the kingdoms.
It would seem that Appolyon has no honor in her whatsoever, pitting me one against three, this would prove to be a battle where I can have no misstep and if so it would mean certain death for me and everything we have fought for so far!
The plan was to destroy and kill her two humble warriors and have her facing me alone!
Fighting a series of battles making our way higher and higher up in the fortress of Appolyon meant that she was on the run and sooner or later she would run out of space. Or I would die farther away from any men who might be able to assist me.
The question begs if any man might be able to help me in a fight against Appolyon or even willing to help me for that matter.
She was a fierce warrior worthy of leading the wolves!
And so it came to be, Appolyon chose her final battleground at the highest point of the fortress a seemingly good place to fight to your end it would seem!
Glorious even in the face of defeat!
I won't be beating around the bush, Appolyon was most certainly a ruthless and well trained warrior and on top of that a woman leading men into battle.
It is somewhat of an inspiration, if only she had other motives to lead the people to a better future and she had the means of uniting us all into one singular cause, yet she chose the path of death and destruction.
Little did she know it would lead to her destruction and death.
After 8 years of war it has finally come to a sudden end. A end that seemed to have never gotten any closer but the end was here and we can all finally return home and rebuild ourselves to our former glory.
A path that was not an easy one proved to be well worth the walk!
