Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!
In the last episode of The Witcher 3 Saga Geralt had his hands full with a bunch of know it all Witch Hunters. Well that was until they were no more. See Radovid sort of forced Geralt's hand in helping him, a sly trickster it would seem to me.
Geralt felt inclined to help Radovid because after all he did owe him a favour, a favour not long done, Radovid surely is a man without any patience. It was Philippa Eilhart after whom Radovid is after.
He sent me out to help a group of his Witch Hunters that are waiting for my aid outside of her Elven Lair hideout. Now see here's the thing they thought that Philippa would still be lurking about somewhere in those caverns.
Oh how very wrong and stupid they are.
Preparing For What's To Come.
Now since I knew somewhat of what laid ahead for me I decided to get some of the load of my back, some swords I rarely use. In turn I also bought some new armor to stand a better chance at cutting up these foul beasts.
Geralt wasn't one for having a complete set of armor and neither did he get one now, but this is surely something that I would be working towards as I progress over to Skelligge.
Making The Trips Count.
Some while ago I pulled a letter from a notice board asking for help in finding a Black Pearl. Now that is something, a character whom they called Nidas promised his wife a Black Pearl after their marriage and well all these years later he still hasn't gotten her one.
The problem now is that he has grown older over the years and he can't undertake this adventure alone anymore, the Black Pearl can be found in the deepest parts of the roughest of Skellige's seas. The stormy seas isn't the only threat lurking, there are many dangers lying and waiting below the surface.
I arranged a meeting spot with Nidas since I am planning on heading over to Skelligge real soon.
The Play Is Still Going?
Whelp, honestly I think Geralt has long forgotten about this play.
None the less whether he was in the mood for such folly things or not it had to be done... He had to find Dudu it might be the last chance at a lead he will get.
Geralt wasn't all that ready for the play and having some lengthy conversation with Irina Renarde regarding this play. Geralt gave some hint that he didn't know his lines all that well, thinking that Irina would be willing to help him in some way.
The only response she gave him was "I'll be here waiting" which he instantly knew that she wasn't going to help at all.
I mean pff he is a grown man after all!
The Hired Guards.
This is one thing I will give to Irina Renarde and that is her ability to see how a simple play like this can turn into s blood spilling show.
I bet she's been down the bloody road more than once!
She asked me to hire some guards, a specific band of men though. I found these men at the docksides, real hardened men who don't take no for an answer. And if no was the only answer they'd respond with a hard fist or even cold steel!
Turns Out They Preferred Cold Steel Or A Fiery Death!
I spared no one, I had to find Dudu and I did and now these bloaks want to come in here ruling what the Church Of The Eternal Fire has to say.
Well this is what I have to say to them!
I think this will be my new go to response for any "Church Of The Eternal Fire" members.
Befitting don't you think!
Convincing Dudu Posed A Problem.
Convincing Dudu was even harder than finding him and we all know how much effort went into finding him! A whole damned performance had to be arranged and then the deal wasn't even sealed.
Glad we found him but now he has to co-operate.
This sounds worse than it is, we're not forcing him but we do need his help.
He was skeptical about our plan. We wanted him to doppler into Menge himself since no one really knows he is dead, everyone thinks him to be missing. _If there is one thing I can understand it would be that Dudu is scared and righteously so.
After all we are asking him to carry the face of the very figure set out to murder any and all magic beings.
it took some convincing but we managed!
A Plan Set In Motion.
After Dudu chipped in and agreed to Dopple into Menge we discussed on a plan.
The plan was for Dudu disguised as Menge to go to the prison in Oxenfurt and have Dandelion moved to a different location.
This is where the opportunity will arise to free Dandelion once the prisoner escort is safely out of town and on the open roads we would set a trap and surprise them.
It wasn't going to be easy at all, we would have need of immense co-ordination to pull this one off.
They Arrived Somewhat Late.
After Priscilla showed up because she couldn't stand sitting at home waiting for good or bad news. She had to be here with us, although when the fighting starts she has to get out of here. Priscilla and Zoltan set out to playing some Gwent and after a few hours of explaining the game to Priscilla they could finally start playing for real.
Until the convoy showed up.
The Trap Worked Better Than Intended.
The trap worked although the problem now was that these were men who've been down a similar path and they were more than ready for action.
We barely blocked the road off trapping them in and they already had Dandelion slinged over a horse gunning as fast as they could into the thick forests. Now if these Witch Hunters had any notion of who they were dealing with they much rather would have fought together instead of splitting them selves up.
A scent is a Witcher's Best friend and they had a stench these Witch Hunters.
I tracked them down far into the thickest of forests.
I never expected to find three dwarves all alone here in the forests by themselves. Strange they usually bunch up with each other.
Well I found them held up in the house of these three dwarves and they were more than upset with the whole situation. They even got angry and frustrated at me and I didn't even do anything, just my presence alone out here bothered them.
It was either me or the stranger in their house, the choice was theirs!
The Three Dwarves Found Some Trust.
They had no choice really, it was one or the other.
They decided on giving me the wine cellar key which had a way leading into the hut, I just had to be extremely quite and light footed otherwise the Witch Hunter would be very much aware of me in the house.
Needless to say a Witcher is much like a cat, not heard only seen until it's far too late.
He's Not As Spineless As He Seems To Be.
This was something I never thought Dandelion would even consider. But he did, he risked his life to save Ciri's.
I'm thankfull that they are both still alive or well the last we know of Ciri she was still alive! But with Dandelion rescued we now stand a much better chance at finding Ciri as well!
